Rather embarrassed to ask but does everyone wax/shave/whatever down below? Is it the norm to do so and abnormal not to? sorry again

Been thinking about this too lately...seems that I get more hairy when pregnant also. BUT I also get more sensitive and not sure I would cope with waxing.....grrrr so someone...please tell me what is the next best thing to waxing???

lol JM about the nappy cream- actually not a bad idea for the few uncomfy days of early re-growth.

oh should add I used to just immac the straggly bits (for swim suit etc) and trim to be neat...think I'd like to go a bit further this time

munnzieb · 30/01/2005 20:42

ok, I personally don't do it, althou I have in the past, the thing is thou, I can never be arsed to keep it looking good - u know shving every couple of days of whatever, so for those who do doit how often do u do it? (might give the nappy idea a go!)

munnzieb · 30/01/2005 20:43

( I do trim regually thou)

lowcalCOD · 30/01/2005 20:43

I think the idea of being completely bald down stairs is a little strange - don't you end up looking like DD?
I once had a boyfriend who decided to neaten himself up (for some unknown reason), and ended up pretty much bald. It was the most offputting thing EVER!

hercules · 30/01/2005 20:47

Have to say it seems a bit prepubescent too.

leahbump · 30/01/2005 20:48

I think being very very hairy isn't that sexy to my dh either...I agree that there is something a bit weird about looking pre pubescent and that = sexy. I think dh said that he would just prefer less hair. (OMG the things I talk to my dh about!!) I don't mind keeping neat and ridding myself of most hair but their is no way I would wax EVERYWHERE unless he's be happy to have his balls waxed!

....and their is no way he would ever do that as he is such a wimp!

Bexter · 30/01/2005 21:05

I LOVE being 'bare down there'! Nothing pervy about it at all, it's just nice and fresh and clean! (Re-growth exceoted!). DH has a regular trim too, although if we don't co-ordinate properly it can become a little like velcro and that makes for an uncomfortable separation following a spot of jiggy jiggy!

lowcalCOD · 30/01/2005 21:05

eugh!

doggiewalker · 30/01/2005 21:06

I wax in the summer and don't tend to bother in the winter but decided as a new year's res to start swimming at least once a week - well ladies, have you ever heard of a mohair bikini?

Well, it looked like I was wearing one . . . .

munnzieb · 30/01/2005 21:06

I went out with a chap who wanted mine all bear once so I said, i'd do it if he did, and the B***d bloody did it didn't he! (only shaved mind) so I said he had to do his legs as well (but he didn't do that one)

jessicasmummy · 30/01/2005 21:08

men shaved is gruesome - my ex did it once - it was like a plucked chicken!

jessicasmummy · 30/01/2005 21:08

but i quite like the smoothness on me!

paolosgirl · 30/01/2005 21:09

A hairless willy was a disturbing sight, and one that I hope I never see again on a man...

lowcalCOD · 30/01/2005 21:09
