I'm suggesting an open air open combat get together with Netmutmums, sparked by a thread about a perfectly good pushchair sold by a fine upstanding mn to a low and abbhorant nm. If this doesn't mean war, what does? Locations, costumes and rules welcome..

Stop being so ridiculous!

Stop posting just to start bother.

It's soooooooo embarassing.

Far far far more embarassing than tickers and calling everyone Hun.

Leave them alone fgs.

littleboyblue · 24/06/2008 22:22

Why do we have it in for netmums?

anneme · 24/06/2008 22:25

I still haven't worked out what a ticker is. Why would you have one? This is nothing against netmums - I'm just confused

BigBadMouse · 24/06/2008 22:33

anneme - they are good in that if you have a flashy one in a hideous colour you can find your own posts in amongst all the other tat quite easily to see what it was you said 15 pages ago (you only get about 3 posts per page due to the tickers etc) MN much easier to use.

QuintessentialShadows · 24/06/2008 22:35

They may have tickers, but we have profile pages.

Leave them to enjoy their forum. This does not reflect good on Mumsnet. It is childish and immature.

never been over to netmums and following this thread, I am now officially going to have a look. I may fall in love with them and never come back. Goodbye.

QuintessentialShadows · 24/06/2008 22:57

Scanner, they are a lovely and totally friendly bunch. Much like us.

scanner · 24/06/2008 23:02

Am back - says it all really.

QuintessentialShadows · 24/06/2008 23:08

And as you can see from the trolling thread started by somebody here, they have a great sense of humour, and dont just JUMP and attack like a flock of wolves....

AnyFuleKno · 24/06/2008 23:10

I went over prepared to laugh but some of their pics of the kids are adorable, sorry!

My HV keeps recommending netmums to me but I told her I preferred mumsnet because it is swearier and more bitter, just like me.

Flibbertyjibbet · 24/06/2008 23:16

Sorry but netmums is fab for their local info. We have enjoyed many days out after receiving emails from netmums about whats on for kiddies locally.
For chat and info I come here but for 'local' give me netmums everytime.

StripeyKnickersSpottySocks · 25/06/2008 09:32

what thread about a pushchair? linkkkk

ComeOVeneer · 25/06/2008 09:38

Oh not again! I agree with QS this shows MN in a bad light.

ComeOVeneer · 25/06/2008 09:39

It is amazing the bravado when one is behind a computer screen. Would you be so bold as to do this face to face?

Byee!!

theSuburbanDryad · 25/06/2008 10:17

Ffs.

Grow up.

I am banned from NM, but even so, i am sure most of them are normal mums trying to the best for their kids. Just like us. Shocker, eh?

I personally much prefer Mumsnet, I've made some genuine friends here and it's been a lifeline for me when things have been hard. But I know that there are people who feel the same way about Netmums. As an organisation they lost any support or respect they may have had from me over the Nestle advertising and I know there are a lot of other people who left over that as well. But there's no point slagging off fellow mums. I mean, really, there isn't, is there?

Would you start a fight at the school gates with another mum over a pushchair? I know this was meant as a joke but they have no sense of humour it's not really that funny. Sorry to be a miserable killjoy with a rod jammed up my arse but that's how i see it. It shows MN in a really bad light.

taliac · 25/06/2008 10:54

I agree.

Hsl500 · 13/07/2009 07:38

Hiya I'm new but just been banned from netmums, I used anon as walked out from my oh, they emailed him the links, had to me a mod as nobody else knew was me
I got three month ban kept to it and they still won't let me back on, won't give a reason why
Beware if posting pm or anon though on netmums
There so called privacy policy is bull!!
Hoping here are bit more understanding
