Mine, (DS-3) LOVES 'Paranoid Android' by Radiohead. We have to play it every morning in the car.

You're just to good to be true by Andy Williams?

bakedpotato · 10/01/2005 13:53

SS, sounds like You're Just Too Good To Be True... don't know the 'artiste'

SeaShells · 10/01/2005 13:54

Thanks, that's it!

Poshpaws · 10/01/2005 13:54

Seashells, it think it's 'You're just to good to be true' by Andy Williams (or somebody like that)

When ds was a few weeks old, once when he was crying dp put Frank Sinatra's my way on... and he was quiet. Then I put on the Sid Vicious version - and he's loved it ever since

Grommit · 10/01/2005 14:00

Dd (5) has always loved Fats Waller - mainly "your feets too big". She also loves Troutmaster replica and the HoodooGurus - very diverse musical taste! Ds (1) loves madonna "Music"

DD is nearly 4 and loves "Changes" by Sandy Riveira, "Spin, Spin sugar" (can't remember, but it's an old dance track) and anything by Jamelia.

She quite likes the current Ice Cube single too.

yoyo · 10/01/2005 15:06

DS loves "Do You Realize??" by The Flaming Lips. He can find the CD easily and sings it perfectly in tune.
DD2 loves anything by The Beatles - she knows them all.

bea · 10/01/2005 15:46

ooo! I love Busted too! DD's favourite 'Crashed the Wedding'... hot faves at the moment are 'whole again' - atomic kitten, Snow Patrol (the one that goes Rise up Rise Up - that's what DD calls it!) and always 'Can't Get you out Of my Head' kylie...

Tinker · 10/01/2005 15:48

Daughter loves Mr Tambourine Man, Mrs Robinson and So Long Marianne. No brainwashing there then.

slug · 10/01/2005 16:31

Came home the other day and caught the sluglet saying "Play Cure CD Daddy"

highlander · 10/01/2005 17:00

DS loves me swinging him to our Bob Marley collection.

serenity · 10/01/2005 17:37

TBH we'll all hate what they're listening to when their teenagers anyway, no matter how much we try to brainwash them now.....I just worry that DSs will rebel by getting deeply into Val Doonican and wearing Pringle jumpers

dawnie1 · 10/01/2005 17:46

DD is 15 months and I have played her 'my'cheesy music nearly every day to absolutely no reaction. DH loves trance music (which I find boring) and she loves it, immediately started bouncing, jumping, clapping her hands and beaming.

TwiglettDragon · 10/01/2005 17:50

F U Right Back. They know all the words too. I'm so proud.

nikcola · 10/01/2005 18:03

dd loves the ice cube song .. u can do it put ur back into it, u can do it put ur ass ito it she knows all the words too

lowcalCOD · 10/01/2005 18:04

My childeren only listen to music designe dfor them
not pop music
i htink its evil and wicked

donnie · 10/01/2005 18:13

dd loves ' daisy daisy' and various songs from musicals like Cjitty chitty bang bang. However she also adores Red red wine ( oops, my alcoholic influence coming out there) and Rock DJ by robbie williams. She also got into several rather naff Christmas pop songs over the festive season, Boney M etc.....also Band aid!

SeaShells · 10/01/2005 18:17

Oh my DS loves Groove Armada's 'I see you baby, shaking that a*se', thinks it's hilarius and always sings along at the top of his voice!

nutcracker · 10/01/2005 18:18

All 3 know the words to Paranoid BlackSabbath as dp plays it in the car full blast and they all sit in a row in the back head banging.
They all now think ozzy is the bees nees and we HAVE TO (according to dd2) have his calender on the living room wall.

Dd1's current fave is that awful song (don't know it's name) where they say "you can do it put your back into it, you can do it put your ass into it (she is 7). I have banned her from singing it though.

Dd2's is anything played on kerrang (dp's influence not mine).

Ds likes 'she will be loved" Maroon 5 (my fault).

joash · 10/01/2005 18:27

GS loves Crush# by Garbage - sings such lovely lyrics like "I would die for you...". NICE

lowcalCOD · 10/01/2005 18:31
