"I don't like cricket, oh nooooo! I love it!"

They were taught it by their father (no surprises there). But dds love it.

DD has always loved Beyonce's Crazy in Love and started saying "ah, oh, ah, oh, ah, oh, etc" before she even said Dada. Whenever I hear it, it reminds me of our first summer together - in the garden, dd in her pram and me in the paddling pool reading magazines.

Dses love Big Mouth Strikes Again (Chumbawamba one not the Smiths one), only they change it to Big Man Strikes Again in honour of their Action Man bath toy.
DP has brainwashed them into being John Spencer Blues Explosion fans and has them leaping about to Take a Whiff of My Pant Leg, Baby. Which is often quite appropriate for ds2, who's still in nappies.

dd (5 and a half) depises pop music and thinks mcfly and busted are rubbish.....
sorry!
but she loves classic fm and listening to jazz and good french music (it does exist). She does like listening to crowded house and Kirsty McColl, brazilian music, etc etc.
We don't force anything on her, but we do like to 'guide' her taste a little through stuff we like.
she'll probably rebel and become a goth or something.......

My dd (3 months) has been force-fed Green Day by my dh since before she was born and now 'Jesus of Suburbia' calms her down instantly when she's in a rage ... unfortunately, we've heard it soooooo many times I could scream along with her
Also will listen intently to Stevie Wonder (mummies influence coming out) - or maybe she's just waiting for Green Day to come back on ...hmmmmmm.

dd was 2 in November and sings "Wandering Star" Lee Marvin; The Universe Song and I've got 90,000 pounds in my pyjamas both from Monty Python. It's dh's fault as he started singing them to her at bedtime and it's now part of her routine. The only problem is that in the Universe song ends with the line "coz there's buggar all down here on earth" which we had to change to "bother all" and then she heard it on the CD and started singing the correct version. A little embarrassing.

DS 5 loves anything by Kylie, especially spinning around, which he does until he gets dizzy and falls down. He also likes Britney.

DS has acquired a taste for Kylie, but the "song" (use the term loosely) he spouts at the moment is courtesy of his dad, a football chant (sung to the tune of Que sera sera, which goes along the lines of "wash your mouth you scum and get your father's gun ...". Charming.
