My Molly can go out from tomorrow......have been walking her round the house on the lead. Am very nervous about tomorrow......will either have to leave her in the house or take her with me when I take the kids to school.......I was going to take her when I get dd from nursery at 11.20 cos it will be quiet....am worried about taking her and her getting nervous......eek!!!

isn't the micro chip needle so HUGE?
Yurks

miggy · 11/01/2005 22:46

Are your pups poohing outside-mine isnt and its driving me mad!
Actually on second thoughts-dont reply if they are

miggy · 11/01/2005 22:49

Piffle-yes. I try and hide it with my hand so people cant see it!
Very sharp though and usually felt less than normal injection.
Would be unusual( but not unheard of) for your pups to have got swollen but Ridgebacks can get lumps along the back-would be good idea to get it checked.

Secur-Cavalier King charles Spaniel,tricolour,15weeks. We also have a black lab (7) and a havanese (3). This one is very cute but brain the size of a pea!

princesspeahead · 12/01/2005 21:21

Mine has never pooed in the house anywhere thank god, and has never weed in her bedroom (aka utility room) - she's always been clean all night which is amazing (must be because she is so bright . BUT she does pee in the kitchen a couple of times a day - she seems to think that that is OK!
She is so sweet. She is currently black, but will turn silver, and her muzzle is going silver already. Ahhhhh

misdee · 12/01/2005 21:23

i am trying to teach our dog to give me its paw to shake hands as dd1 loves this, but everytime i saw Paw to her and hold out my hand she pee's herself!!

Piffle · 12/01/2005 21:29

our bibi is very smart, but then ridgies are!
At 3 mths she sits and stays before food, shakes paws, rolls over and leaves the kitten and/or her food straight away, is dry day and night, well she whines to go out and does the job pretty quickly. And amazingly she is dead good on a lead!
She does however spray wee everywhere when wagging her tail..
I'm impressed my last ridgie pup was not nearly so advanced!
And PPH. Royalty but no corgi?
What breed has your highness chosen?

miggy · 12/01/2005 21:34

pph-shouldnt tell you this as you have bragged enough already BUT....List of 10 most intelligent dogs in paper today-compiled by obedience judges-poodles are no 2, 2nd only to border collies-Pah!

Our 6 month border/lakeland got run over yesterday by, wait for it, our VET! Fortunatly hes just lost some skin. It was his fault, the rabbit made it accross, Alfie did not The vet has given him a jab and provided cream.. but will we get a bill

Miggy We have a ruby cavalier king charles spaniel he is 12 months and also has a brain the size of a pea.

tallulah · 13/01/2005 18:11

We are having a pulling problem AND a jumping up problem that nothing seems to be able to solve. Tried Halti- she hates it & it's wrong size. Sadly our puppy class (which she really enjoyed) has closed.

FrenchGirl · 13/01/2005 18:20

poor little pup anteater, I hope he feels better soon. We have an 8 months old Lakeland, he is gorgeous (even more so after grooming today, all the lady doggies will faint tomorrow at the park!), but not particularly easy to train....but he is a lot of fun!!! I met someone with a border/lakeland cross recently......

vileandputridCOD · 13/01/2005 18:21

oh meea,we have a 13mnth ruby cav,also male,also with teeny little brain-beautiful,affectionate,but soo stupid!!

redsky · 13/01/2005 21:30

I think I have the thickest [and hairiest}dog in the world. It took him 6 months to learn his name. At obedience class I had to walk down the hall with him and I didn't realise he had fallen asleep and I marched along with him trailing behind like a mop, wondering why everyone was ROFL .
ps - he's not deaf;

bleugh........mollys just poo'ed all in her bed.....so much for not messing in their own space.

We bought her a crate and we shut her in it at night now. She goes to sleep and thats that til morning!!! We didnt shut her in to start and she was still wandering around barking and causing havoc, so we decided one night to just shut her in. fingers crossed so far so good.

However we are having a lot of trouble when I have to go out and leave her twice a day (taking kids to school and picking dd up from nursery) I take her with me when I go and pick ds1 up from school. I am really sad and set the camcorder up on her when I am out and keep a diary of what she gets up to so then I know what keeps her quiet and the happiest. She isn't too bad when I go out from 8.35 til 9.10, barks for 5 minutes then goes to sleep. But when I go to get dd from nursery I leave at 11.05 and get back at 11.40, she barks the whole time. I tried taking her with me but that meant having to tie her up at the school gate and she was really really upset, and was foaming at the mouth when I got back to her even though I left a treat for her to chew on while I was there, she ignored it. The time before that she actually snapped her harness and escaped and was running all over the playground I could have died of embarrasement I just don't know what to do about this. The neighbours are getting fed up of it.
