Vuba Libre, yum ... am honestly not in a heap, now, and yes he was a shit - think I do still love him. Said he had to live on his own for at least six months, which he's done, we're going to counselling and he's trying v hard - we'll see. May extend his probation so that I'm sure. am not having my dds or me f'd up again. God, wasn't live simple when you were younger. Still have a v good time and go out with my friends a lot. Friends are SO important - how's Lou??

spacedonkey · 14/12/2004 00:22

you sound like your head is very well sorted about it all sykes, good for you and I really hope all works out right for you

lou is great, she's in thailand!

turquey · 14/12/2004 00:24

It's amazing what a big hole Lou leaves on MN. I've almost forgiven her for hurling Sean Bean into a vat of molten lava.

sykes · 14/12/2004 00:27

Lucky woman - remember her mentioning it. Is London as good as you hoped? I used to live in Highbury - loved it and miss it. Love the fact that two great friends are still round there - if you've got time we should have a beer one night when I'm next up????

spacedonkey · 14/12/2004 00:28

would love to have a beer!

i love it far, far more than i thought i ever would, it is a fantastic place to be

spacedonkey · 14/12/2004 00:29

i'm only down the road from highbury corner

sykes · 14/12/2004 00:30

Sorry, Flopsey, my connection keeps dropping or whatever it does. Sorry about your father. My father had it as well - he died about 20 years ago - very old parents. And it's supposed to be genetic - help ....

sykes · 14/12/2004 00:33

Would love to have a beer - went to see Swan Lake at Sadlers Wells the other week with another friend and the buzz of London is just so brilliant. What's your favourite bar? Ther are some great pubs in Canonbury and I love, bugger, can't remember the name - v close to H corner, sort of a pub but more of a wine bar, wil have to ask my mate Iain.

spacedonkey · 14/12/2004 00:35

not The Famous Cock? snigger

Carla · 14/12/2004 00:38

Where have you been, FLOPSEY? We've been listening to 'Save All Your Kisses For Me' by The Brotherhood of Man. Good Grief .... stay awake

sykes · 14/12/2004 00:38

That's the one. Arf, arf. We'll have 20 beers there. I'll wear my hot pants. May have to buy some first. My gold ones are SO last year.

FLOPSEYfairylightswithBUNNIES · 14/12/2004 00:38

I'm in Surrey ... hate it. Sorry, other mnetters who love it. Where are you?

spacedonkey · 14/12/2004 00:40

sorry flopsey, don't mean to make you feel left out mate!

spacedonkey · 14/12/2004 00:42

fnar fnar @ hotpants

sykes · 14/12/2004 00:45

Flopsey, where are you?

spacedonkey · 14/12/2004 00:46

(sykes are you and ff going out on the town then and can i come too please)

Carla · 14/12/2004 00:49

Flops .....

sykes · 14/12/2004 00:52

Unfortunately not. I'm taking my dd to see the horse of the year show - my benefit, but she will love it, she will, not she does love ponies, but then back to Surrey. Meeting FF at Victoria, so wish we could stay in town but dd1 is only five, If you fancy a horrid, drunken night in Surrey then brilliant - could sort out sleeping arrangements, or meet for a beer in London around five/six. H is meeting us in Reigate to take dd home. Would LOVE to see you and there's a revolting club we may go to - and it is revolting - never been, but what the heck?? It looks awful

spacedonkey · 14/12/2004 00:54

HAHAHAHA you are hilarious!

dunno if i can get down to surrey, but maybe another time we could all meet up in islington, i've got loads of room so you could both stay at mine and i'll make you my famous bacon sarnies and lou could come too, she would love it

sykes · 14/12/2004 01:00

That would be great, as long as I can have a fried egg sarnie - don't eat meat. But if you fancy a beer on thursday let me know, it's a bugger to have to go back, but think Anna may spoil pulling potential. Or maybe FF. Let's organise something for next year.

spacedonkey · 14/12/2004 01:01

fried eggs no problem sarge

early in the new year then please, I could really do with a night at the famous cock

sykes · 14/12/2004 01:04

Yes, and I hope I can help you there, I'll be in my pants. Am so looking forward to seeing FF, have to book her ticket. Have you met her?
