Who should be the new presenter of Home Truths?

Listened to it this morning with (I think) Tom Robinson, but although he seems a good egg I don't think he quite cuts the mustard.

Who would be a great Home Truths presenter do you think?

I haven't heard Linda Smith do it, but I agree with sobernoel- I can't imagine her being compassionate. She always seems way too pleased with herself. Graeme Garden is an idea. I would have thought Tom Robinson would be good (interesting life experiences), but I haven't heard him either. Hmmm.

Actually we need someone with

• some kind of hard upbringing

• experience of life's rich tapestry

• someone with time on their hands

Agree with JanH, maybe because I always have hated that programme.

I've always hated it too. And Jonathan Ross doesn't come on Radio 2 until 10 O'clock. So it's Classic FM or Radio 3 for us until 10 on Saturday mornings, because Home Truths is always so gruesome. Even the theme tune gets my teeth on eadge.
