Go to M&S they do good bras

janeyjinglebops · 02/12/2004 21:32

Fantasie make lovely bras. Try bravissimo. Think they have a website and can order on line. They have shops too - there is one by Ealing shopping centre.

hoxtonturkey · 02/12/2004 21:46

definitely bravissimo. i like panache bras.

WigWamBam · 02/12/2004 21:48

Bravissimo is here

janeyjinglebops · 02/12/2004 21:48

Oh I've not seen those been wearing mursing bras since Sept 2003 so a bit out of touch. What size do they go up to? I have quite a big cup size!!!

Blitzen · 02/12/2004 21:48

Have a look at Amplebosom. There is a search page where you put in your size and other requirements - it's not that reliable but some of what comes up will be right.

janeyjinglebops · 02/12/2004 21:48

should say nursing bras

cranberryjampot · 02/12/2004 21:54

Well i was in M&S yesterday and braved myself for a fitting - the lady told me I was a 44HH which she couldn't provide. Ribcage 36, bust 46.

I went to Bravissimo today and bought a beautiful bra in 36GG for £30 but they had other lovelies for about £20. Loads of beautiful styles and even clothes for busty lasses

WigWamBam · 02/12/2004 21:56

They are beautiful, but unfortunately not big enough for me

Rarrie · 02/12/2004 22:01

I second Bravissimo. When I was bfeeding I used their nursing bras and they held up my 32L cups okay... Now I only breastfeed at night, I tend to wear sports bras (they go up to a G cup) Not quite as sexy underneath the clothes, but I find my still rather large 32G boobs look quite pert in them, considering!

mummyfullofturkeytummy · 02/12/2004 22:02

I'm a 34G, and John Lewis and House of Frazer do some bras in those sizes - mainly the Fantasie range. Bravissimo bras look really nice - are they easy to send back if they are the wrong size? There was an internet address in Prima magazine last month for a really cheap bra site that did larger sizes, but can't remember what it was. If I find it, I'll post it on this thread.

Festivepussy · 02/12/2004 22:02

Browsing, thank you, like the look of some on the Bravissmo site but how do you decide which size you want?? Since they say its like trying on shoes...

WWB I can find bras to fit me in Bravissimo and I've got enormous knockers!

Smashingpumpkin · 02/12/2004 22:03

I am 36 f but previously was a J, would recommend Fantasie bras too!! Am having a breast reduction on NHS very soon xx

janeyjinglebops · 02/12/2004 22:03

I have sent stuff back no problems

WigWamBam · 02/12/2004 22:03

Janey, I have an enormous band size as well as an enormous cup size! They do the cup size but not the band size.

janeyjinglebops · 02/12/2004 22:04

Oh didn't mean to pry... How about Rigby and Pellor?

janeyjinglebops · 02/12/2004 22:05

Smashing Pumpkin

  • how did you manage that? Have always promised myself I would try once I finished with bf
Smashingpumpkin · 02/12/2004 22:05

So where wigwambam???

WigWamBam · 02/12/2004 22:05

All of their stuff I've seen looks as if it's reinforced with cast iron!! Although I haven't looked recently.

janeyjinglebops · 02/12/2004 22:06

Yes but is it comfy????? That is the worse thing having an uncomfy bra

Smashingpumpkin · 02/12/2004 22:08

I finished breastfeeding 5 months ago went to see my doctor who felt as it was for cosmetic purposes it was not appropriate, I then got a second opinion and was referred straight way. On my appointment with my consultant I was told it would take only nine months for the op itself so am very hopeful of having new figure by summer. I am a size twelve - fouteen so am very much out of proportion, and have big dents in my shoulders, i think it is a personal cjoice but I cannot wait xx

mummyfullofturkeytummy · 02/12/2004 22:09

I wanted a reduction too, but I am too scared (doesn't help that my Dr is the same age as me, and I'd feel embarrassed talking about my knockers to him!)

Smashingpumpkin · 02/12/2004 22:10

Also you have to have a BMI of 28 or 38 (can't remeber which) to be considered if it is any help I am 5 foot 6 and weigh 12 stone xx

janeyjinglebops · 02/12/2004 22:10

Oh I would so love to buy any top I iked the look of instead of worrying whether my boobs are going to 'distort' it!
