WhipMeIndiana · 04/07/2008 15:00

cutthroat (you could be a lady pirate with that name)

House has made me cry in the past a few times, did you see the one where the 2 brothers were brought in, one to save the other, and they pumped all the white blood cells out of the healthy one and then he became seriously ill as they unmasked a hidden heart condition?? It devastated me. I never watched it again.

ps Is Jenn having the l o n g e s t holiday ever?

CutThroatBitchRIP · 04/07/2008 18:37

Maybe she's got ...

...REAL FRIENDS

maybe she won the Lottery???

AAR Jim Lad etc etc etc.....

JennsterSlugSlayer · 04/07/2008 23:07

7 days?

worley · 05/07/2008 08:31

well at least you know we love you jenn!!!

i went to watch prince caspian last night with ds1 while ds2 stayed at home and babysat. we loved it, it was even better than the narnia film. a bit LOTR for kids but worth going to see. We may take both ds's to go see kung fu panda today, not too sure yet. ds2 loves shrek and will sit glued to it all the way through, but dont want to disturb others going to see it. our local cinema dont do the baby sessions that they do at vue, but our nearest vue is 35 miles away in norwich.

Welcome back Jenn!!!

Did you have a drunken nice time?

JennsterSlugSlayer · 05/07/2008 14:21

Ahhh yes. Kids asleep, parents drinking on terrace.

JennsterSlugSlayer · 05/07/2008 14:25

So it's ok for nursery to poison your ds2 with milk, but not ok for you to poison the rest of the children? That's not fair!

WhipMeIndiana · 05/07/2008 19:16

share choc crunch recipe like NOW!! Worley!!

Jenn who was that rant for? what did I miss re; poisoning?

worley · 05/07/2008 22:32

i didnt think about that jenn!, md, jenn meant when the nursery gave ds2 milk things "by accident" which made him sick

ok, the chocolate crunch is
(for 25 servings!! so i used my big lasagne dish to put it in, but think i will halve the ingredients next time i make it, to make it thinner)(it says a 26cmx38cmx2.5cm tin yields 25 portions)

340g plain flour
340g self raising flour
340g sugar
340g melted margarine
13/4 eggs ( i used 2 )
40g cocoa
vanilla essence drops

1> in a large bowl mix the flor sugar and cocoa
2> add the melted marg and vanilla essence to the dry ingredients and beat in the eggs (this was bloody hard work!!)
3> press the mixture, evenly into the lightly greased tin
4> brush the top with water and sprinkle with some additional sugar
5> oven bake at 150 oc/300f/gas 2 for at least 30 mins

if you require a crunchier crunch then cook for longer as required. the finished result is of personal preference.

tip- for vanilla crunch omit the cocoa

enjoy!!!

off to bed now - start work at 7am till 1 pm tomorrow, then no more oncall duties this month, thank god. i swapped them to do extra in august to cover the school holidays so i had cover for ds1 while dp is away on his adventure holiday he is going on with the teenagers from his work. i cant believe he is getting paid to go away to the lake district for a week and do cool things like abseiling and rock climbing and canoeing.... snot fair

Sorry. Just realised I read far more than I post, and I'm not very good at referring to everybody's problems or situations. Also I don't remember all of them. Yes that was for Worley.

12 days Voodoo.....

You know what Macdog? I think our coffee and breakfast was a little tame. We should have got roaring drunk.

CutThroatBitchRIP · 06/07/2008 17:24

I'm Md, not whippy

JennsterSlugSlayer · 06/07/2008 20:57

Huh? Now I'm confused. Macdog is Macdog and Voodoo is Voodoo and Worley is Worley?

CutThroatMacdog · 07/07/2008 08:00

What about this???????

Maybe not

Macdog · 07/07/2008 08:01

That's better!!

worley · 07/07/2008 13:24

i thought jenn posted the same amount as the rest of us???

its just taken me 3 hours to clean out ds1's bedroom. and 4 bin bags later i can see his floor again and not walk in and trip over something or stand on bloody lego which hurts like hell!!!!
he has like 2 years worth of dr who and transformers comics saved up, which im trying to slowly get rid of, he doesnt read them or anything, they are just sat there......
and i found the box for his ipod docking station which has broken after only 5 months so i can take it back and swap it hopefully.

OP posts:
worley · 07/07/2008 13:25

ds2 just ate cheese and cucumber sandwiches while i had ...... a scoth egg a mini twirl and a mini crunchie. but the thing is he would rather eat the cumumber than sweeties anyway!!!

OP posts:
VoodooMacdog · 07/07/2008 19:05

dd has just wandered into room wearing a bodywarmer back-to-front (daddy is obviously keeping a really close watch on her!)

fridge in the hall where we have toddler group has broken. cleared out loads of mouldy fruit/cheese/cold meat etc

Why did no-one clear the stuff out when the thing broke down FFS????

worley · 07/07/2008 20:04

because that would be too easy macdog!!

OP posts:
VoodooMacdog · 08/07/2008 16:56
