lots of chatting here this afternoon!!

Phono - thanks for your FB friend request, have accepted . are you playing scrabble with Squonk already or shall we set up a zappata game with Fred? and thanks for letting me know where you work, sounds fun and interesting?

Fred - are you on FB as well? how come your're not my friend?

Egg - don't worry about not replying about our visit, I assumed you had too much going on at the moment and didn't want to add to the workload. Unfortunately I have just agreed to host a surprise baby shower on friday 22nd Feb so can now only make Tues 19th that week, will you have shedloads to do that day for ds1's bday? we can come on Friday 14th March if that is better?

Squonk - re the meet up, when did you say you were coming darn sarffffffffff?

divamummy2 · 01/02/2008 22:17

EGG, Congratulations on birth of Rebecca and Jacob. Im so sorry i must you birth announcement[busy on huns]
I was thinking of you on xmas day. Im sure everything went well for you.
Take care.Lots of love from Diva with little and tiny monsters

Egg · 02/02/2008 09:16

Hello Divamum!!! Lovely to see you. You should come and chat with us here as an honorary member . Marmite who is one of our regulars here was the lovely lady who bought my McLaren (Zappatas Divamum bought my Jane Slalom...).

Anyway how is it going with your little ones diva? Hope everything is good. Everything still ok here, would rather have a bit more sleep but getting more than I ever did with DS1 at this stage.

Marmite, I think we should opt for 14 March as my sis and family are probably coming overnight for DS1's bday and so will prob stay the night of 19 Feb, hence I will be busy getting ready. If they are not coming overnight then I wont really have too much to do but think it's best to just get a date in the diary firmed up. Also my doula does not always come on Fridays so would be nice to see you on a Friday when we will be lonely .

Right need to get on and finish breakfast so I can get in the bath and get myself vaguely presentable.

Hope everyone is happy today, I know most of you don't post much at weekends....

marmitemad · 02/02/2008 09:29

I am here!!!!

14th March is fine, will put it in my diary now, looking forward to seeing you all again very much.

did you have a good night?

4am again for us here but I gave her Medised straight away as she'd already been up several times earlier and didn't hear another peep.

Egg · 02/02/2008 09:51

I was up at 4am too! Not a bad night, but drank a whole bottle of champagne to myself last night and also have a sore throat and cough so was not feeling tooooooooo great. Ok now I have had coffee.

DH and DS1 are out for a walk and a pasty, babies are asleep for now so I have to wash hair (did manage to do it the other day, but it is now 4 days later again...). Have had a bath. Then need to sort out forms for child allowance etc that I keep forgetting to do.

14 March it is. Woohoo. Something exciting to look forward to. Now I need to find my phone to put it in the calendar there.

Dropdeadfred · 02/02/2008 18:25

Fred - hope you had a good time, we all have colds here and feel like crap.

burstingbug · 03/02/2008 11:57

Oooh do you still like your Zapps? I'm just on the verge of buying one, should I shouldn't I? Thanks

Egg · 03/02/2008 18:44

I still love mine and I miss it as don't often get to use it now I have DTs as well , not that I am to have DTs, just that we don't use the Zapp so much.

I would say this though, I have found it THOROUGHLY annoying not having a basket underneath, as I tend to walk everywhere and so want to get milk / bread etc and had nowhere to put it. You can hang it on the back but as the pushchair is so light you can't hang much. Squonk did get a basket for hers so hopefully she can say whether it works well.

It is great though, light and easy to push and DS1 loves it.

Fred, how was your night out .

marmite . Similar here, I have had a cough and sore throat all week but DS1 has it now as well, which has meant many tears from him, waking up a lot crying at night, and generally being miserable. Just hope he is ok tomorrow or no nursery .

burstingbug · 03/02/2008 18:56

Thanks Egg you never had a problem with tipping or anything did you?
I'll catch ole Squonker on msn at some point.

Dropdeadfred · 03/02/2008 19:21

Hi girls...my night out was great thanks!! I love the Stones and this band is so good even the real Stones have heard them!!

You forget how many great songs they have ...!!

Sorry to hear about your colds girls...please do not beath too close to your screens as I do not want another!

OP posts:
Egg · 03/02/2008 20:28

I could never forget how many songs the Stones have... It is the only CD in our car and DH and DS1 love it. It can get a bit tedious after two years . Glad you had a great time though, did your big DDs look after your little DD?????

bursting, I have never had any tipping issues but I do remember scottishmummy saying that hers tipped when she had the maxi cosi car seat on when her DS was little . It wont tip if you dont hang too much on the handles, and does specifically say in the instructions not to hang things there, but without a basket what option do you have (hmm, a large backpack ). Anyway my DS1 has always been fine.

DS2 currently hiccuping after large milk feed and thus a leetle bit of puke is coming up each time. Lovely.

So, are you and squonkers old friends . I didn't realise she had other friends as well as us . Come and join us here whether you get a Zapp or not though .

burstingbug · 03/02/2008 20:33

Lol I know Squonkers through the tea shop & bar
I'm soooo looking forward to the Zapp!

Dropdeadfred · 03/02/2008 21:38

Egg, yes it was a good night. Strange for myself and DP to be out on our own though,,good job there as lots of loud music otherwise we might have had to make conversation!!!

No the elder two never babysit. I know they are techically old enough but we have never wanted to leave them with that reponsbility. If anything were to happen in our absence I would not want them to feel responsible ( and I do know how unlikely that is but still...) DP's mum came over and babysat.

Egg, did you ever go out to the Halfmoon in Putney?

OP posts:
Egg · 04/02/2008 06:56

Fred! Yes yes and guess what, that's where Squonk and I first met! Was that where the band were????????????

All DCs awake and wanting me so just logging in. Back after nursery run .

fryalot · 04/02/2008 08:06

aaahhhh

bug don't have msn at the mo, but nice to sort of see you as you fly past our thread will catch you soon, hopefully

marmite I am definitely daaaaaarn saaaaaarf for the last week in May, coming home on 1st June but I'll be down again in August

fred glad you had a good night

egg There can never be an egg as good as you

Been having a clear out over the weekend. My mum and nephew are coming on Friday (so don't worry if you don't see too much of me next week, visitors and half term means the puter will probably stay switched off ) Apart from that, not done much at all.

Everyone seems to have been really busy in rl and on here though

marmitemad · 04/02/2008 09:39

morning ladies,

can someone pass me some matchsticks? have no idea how many times we were up with dd last night but felt like dh and I took turns every 30mins , thought things would be better as the 2nd top tooth finally cut through through yesterday but not to be. roll on thursday when we see the cranial osteopath (am praying she has some magic up her sleeve )

we had the journey from hell home from stevenage yesterday, 3.5 hours involving a detour down the A1 to the north circular as the m25 was closed .

so how would Friday 30th May work for everyone for a meet up?

fryalot · 04/02/2008 09:45

oh marmite, poor you! will these do for now?

Friday, 30th May fine for me

I'm getting one from another mn'er in mauve

Egg · 04/02/2008 11:32

Ooh Fred's is mauve too. It's lovely . Not as "eye catching" as the orange mind you .

Marmite I have two newborn babies and am getting better sleep than you . My utmost sympathy. DS stopped being bothered about new teeth after a while so fingers crossed she does the same. Not long til she is ONE YEAR OLD .

marmitemad · 04/02/2008 11:35

I would love a mauve zapp (I don't have one at all) but not sure how I could justify it to dh (we already have main buggy, maclaren quest and a new m&p nippi)

thanks for the matchsticks & pro plus, currently trying to decide whether to go swimming at lunchtime or go home for a nap?
