I've booked Feb half term off and will

  1. go to see my mum
  2. spend 2 nights staying with a very lovely old friend and another mutual friend and assorted children and
  3. spend 2 nights in a hotel with dh as ex mil is having children

So, what have you got to look forward to? And if it's nothing, what could you plan?

Bah humbug!

Actually, I'm looking forward to having a good spring clean, although I've no idea when I'm going to get round to doing it - winter 2011, probably!

LyraSilvertinsel · 28/12/2007 14:38

Just agreed a budget with DP for our holidays so I'll be planning them for the first few weeks of 2008. We're hoping to go to Florida in April and camping somewhere in the UK in August.

Anna8888 · 28/12/2007 14:39

New Year's Eve, with my sister and BIL and our children.

And am busy researching and planning our summer holiday, as well as thinking about all the other little escapades in between.

OrmIrian · 28/12/2007 14:44

Looking forward to New Year Eve now as we're going to friends' house for the evening.
DS#1's birthday. We're taking him and 4 mates snowboarding
DS#2' first proper party now that he's at school. He wants a Noahs' Ark party and has been planning it for ages.
New job. Got to do it as I'm unhappy and insecure where I am.
Moving house or loft conversion. Has to happen as we're rapidly running out of space.

Possibly only 1 of the last 2.

SelfishMrsClaus · 28/12/2007 14:47

8th Jan I have an exam

15th Jan I have an exam It's also happens to be my 3oth birthday

wheresthehamster · 28/12/2007 14:52

Center parcs next Friday - Sun - dds don't know yet

Have to plan surprise 80th party for my mum for the 7th Jan.

Half thinking of a Silver Jubilee party for 31st Jan as DP and I have been together 25 years but might be too much for DP as it's his 50th birthday this year and am definitely doing a surprise get together for that! He's asked me sincerely NOT to do anything but his friends and I are blatantly ignoring him.

Am looking into an Easter holiday on the Northumberland coast and possibly France or somewhere for the summer that doesn't involve flying.

Am going to buy some Madame Tussauds annual passes with clubcard points so we can go away in the caravan at a moment's notice when the decorating gets too much!

Finally, looking forward to a raise this year when I get my level 3 TA award (I know, I know, it will be peanuts but I will FEEL good)

smurfgirl · 28/12/2007 15:04

Nothing in the immediate future.

I am getting married in October - so have some fun planning stuff to do next year and then going on our honeymoon to the Maldives which I am sooooo excited about.

And I finish my nursing degree in August and should hopefully start work as a staff nurse in November. Hopefully I will get a good job somewhere nice.

Oh and I am hoping to pass my driving test this spring

I have a Christening to go to in February and DF will come with me and meet lots of people in my family he has never met which I am excited about.

nutcracker · 28/12/2007 15:10

God I hate these threads. No offence to you WWW, I just never have any answers LOL.

I only have one thing, which is being bridesmaid for my friends wedding in August.

I'd love to have more to look forward to.

My mum asked me what nice things had happened to me this year and the only things I could think of were things that had come about through MN, which as lovely as they were, makes my life a bit sad really.

nutcracker · 28/12/2007 15:10

OMG it is my 30th in June too

tiredemma · 28/12/2007 15:17

My 30th in two weeks (vomit) but am going away to nice hotel for the night
to compensate becoming old.

Have a couple of holidays and camping trips booked.

Want a new job so will have to have a look out for one.

Going to London in feb with 6 mates to see Dirty Dancing.

Need to knuckle down with uni coursework also and not leave it all to last minute again.

becklesparkle · 28/12/2007 15:30

DC3 due yesterday!!!

Then DS1's birthday near the end of January!

MuffinMclay · 28/12/2007 15:41

Birth of ds2 (Feb)

Possible big promotion at work for dh

Possible arrival of another dog later in the year

Losing lots of weight and getting fit after birth of ds2. I want to be skinny again!

Decorating the house (was the big plan for this year but it hasn't happened) and being rid of textured wallpaper

festivecircus · 28/12/2007 15:45

DP's birthday 30th December; PFB was due Christmas day so now it's a race between the two of them to get their birthday in first. Also looking forward to going out for hot curry tonight!
