Well Flum I have no problem with explaining the concept of death to DS (although I'm not really sure he gets it)

.. but the concept of war? not too sure I understand it enough myself to want to subject a child to a halting explanation

I agree, I have told my 3.5 year old about death and dying, and she has some understanding, but I think she is too young to be taught about war, fighting and people killing each other.
