Mumsnetters in the Reading area ?

Hi there,

Just wondered if there were any other mumsnetters in the Reading area ?

Anyone fancy meeting up - either with kids or for an evening out sometime this month ?

OK...do you know the graveyard in between The Oracle and Broad Street Mall? Its just there in that street ...opposite the market. i'm sure if you get into the centre of Reading someone will be able to point you in the right direction. I suppose if you were coming from West Reading (or over IDR)and drove past the police station in castle street...you'd get to the end of that street, to the traffic lights, just past sweeney todds...and then at traffic lights (by a pub) turn left, Pizza express is a bit up on the right.

I'm really p*$%%d off that I can't be there but if it helps, as you walk up Broad Street (main shopping street) and you've got Next & M&S on the right, eventually you get to Laura Ashley on the left-hand corner (and yes, Virgin opposite) then turn left & P.E. is on the left either just before or just after Blacks anorak shop

Yes Twink...damnedly crap that you can't be there! But are you going to do the big meet up in Nov? Maybe all the Reading-ites can go up together as the Reading contingent?

But at least Scatterbrain has directions to get to P.E from every angle (whenever I think P.E it reminds me of the having a period excuse)

Looking forward to meeting you. Just one question thats preying on my mind... do either of you smoke? I am an evening smoker of very thin roll-ups and wondered if you were very anti just in case??

I had a great time last night, it was lovely to meet you. Glad you got your car back Scatterbrain!I've had about 4 hours sleep, just couldn't sleep worrying about you know what. I think I was right!!

Thanks for a great time last night - we must do it again soon - Twink too ! Eventually found my parking ticket in my purse (Derrrr !) and got home very quickly. Don't think I'll park in the Oracle next time though - some strange people loitering in doorways - felt a tad nervous !
