pathetic plea for good vibes to the inferiority complex

DD2 is ill - vomitting, diarrhoea, yuk - for second day running. DP and I both up against deadlines that were making this week hellish even before the outpouring. He was off yesterday. I'm fitting stuff 'around her', as they say, after working till godknowswhen last night and anticipating doing the same tonight. I know this is truly pathetic, but a few sympathetic vibes/messages would truly brighten my day, as am finding self on brink of knackered fedup tears. MIxxxx

Ah, thankyou

moomina · 28/10/2004 22:01

Too kind, your Ladyship, too kind.

marthamoo · 28/10/2004 22:01

You're welcome, small serf like person - now out of my way please

Hey I could get used to this!

I thought Moominma lived in a Moominhouse.

I think I'm supposed to be living in a Scandinavian forest, but I've been watching too much property porn and gone all aspirational, obviously...

How are things now, MI?

marthamoo · 28/10/2004 22:10

I'm on to you, cunning low-life revolutionary serf. I didn't get this rich and landed by being dim you know.

Moominhouse sounds nice - all cosy and rounded.

How are things now, MI?

motherinferior · 28/10/2004 22:11

Things are quiet, DP is on his way back, I'm doodling around on the internet because I'm too damn tired to go to bed IYKWIM, and my deadlines are pretty well met.

Oooh, that's him, must pretend not to be doodling!

Dr.Moo prescribes a warm bath, a milky drink (or a brandy or somesuch) and bed. Hope dd has stopped with the puking and the pooing by morning and just lies quietly on the settee watching videos in an undemanding, low maintenance parenting type fashion.

marthamoo · 28/10/2004 22:19

It's just occurred to me that I have no idea how old dd2 is - she is old enough for videos?

hatter · 28/10/2004 22:27

Hi MI, well done for meeting your deadlines, hope dd gets better soon (oh, yes, I know that feeling of quickly closing mn to reveal a work window underneath

Marina · 28/10/2004 22:27

I'd live in a Vineyard if I were you, Martha, maybe surrounded by Muffins. That could be a good location for comfort consumption during most parenting crises...

marthamoo · 29/10/2004 07:25

Sod the Muffins - if I lived in a vineyard I'd be drinking the wine

Earlybird · 29/10/2004 07:28

MI - just wanted to say that I hope today is a much easier one than yesterday. Will be thinking of you.

motherinferior · 29/10/2004 18:55

And once again, thank you. I know it was a truly pathetic plea, but it really meant a lot to me that you lot sympathised.

DD2 now sparky and cheery. Parents look like limp rags, the sort that have been used to scrub the floor. Naturally today was the day I bumped into an ex who chucked me and whom I haven't seen since before I had kids...

But of course you bumped into the ex today, of all days ... Glad to hear the inferiorettes are feeling better, hope you are soon.
