pathetic plea for good vibes to the inferiority complex

DD2 is ill - vomitting, diarrhoea, yuk - for second day running. DP and I both up against deadlines that were making this week hellish even before the outpouring. He was off yesterday. I'm fitting stuff 'around her', as they say, after working till godknowswhen last night and anticipating doing the same tonight. I know this is truly pathetic, but a few sympathetic vibes/messages would truly brighten my day, as am finding self on brink of knackered fedup tears. MIxxxx

SpringChicken · 28/10/2004 09:54

You have my sympathy MI!
Not to the same extreme as you because i am only working part time at the minute, but DD has had a bit of a cold lately and now i appear to be struck down with a cold/throat infection/sinusitus - Which is terrific trying to look after a 15 week old baby when all you want to do sleep or die

Lots and lots of sympathy for you x

Tinker · 28/10/2004 09:54

We all had this a couple of weeks ago, lasted 5 days, sorry mate. I put us all in the same bed, bucket each, nappies back on the boys, and worked off a tray simpering a lot. Good luck and i have no doubt your deadlines will be finished.

marthamoo · 28/10/2004 10:32

Big hugs winging their way to you....

hugs...hugs.....hugs.....hugs>>>>>>>>>>

I am absolutely useless on too little sleep. Hope the bugs bug off soon xxx

The >>>>s denote winginess, but not in an Always Ultra kind of way, more in a little fairy kind of way.

welshmum · 28/10/2004 10:34

Sending loads of sympathy and get well soon vibes your way MI (also a mental image of my 6'2" Dh in a way too small santa suit with his trousers tucked into my purple suede boots - just to cheer you up)

Hoping that somehow things get easier so that it's not an endlessly tiring day for all concerned. Just a thought - could you get in a sitter to help out for a few hours this afternoon/evening? Imagine that dd only wants you or dh if she's ill, but having some help around the house could take some of the stress out of the situation.

hoxtonchick · 28/10/2004 11:54
