I am very upset. Feathers everywhere. He actually scrabbled at the hen house until he undid the catch and it opened. All dead.

And they were laying so brilliantly as well. Tilly, Polly, Norma and Irma, RIP .

This lot claim to have invented a fox proof chicken house - and very stylish it is too. They're called omlet

they are triple locked now! eglu is very cool but v expensive, quite urban looking and much to small for more than 2 hens...

hannah and bouncy were named by my dd(other two by my ds) - bouncy because when we bought him and his pen was opened he literally bounced straight out, and hannah because that is the name of the older girl in the village that my dd thinks is wonderful!

She'll be honoured to have one of the Royal Chickens named after her!
