ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooh god no zubb
its naff
theres a thread on it

codswallop · 20/10/2004 11:51

that I cant find

spacemonkey · 20/10/2004 11:52

i've heard it's brilliant

tinyganghq · 20/10/2004 11:56

I went last year with some friends. They all thought it was HILARIOUS, I just thought it was ok. Depends on your sense of humour I guess. Never seen so many women in one place either!
I give it a 'worth seeing, but not worth going to see' iykwim

codswallop · 20/10/2004 12:00

I thihk the hype surrounding it is huge
veeery american imo and I really treid hard to laugh and I normally find womanes stuff good. theres a few poignant bits in it

JoolsToo · 20/10/2004 12:01

my vagina could tell some stories!

codswallop · 20/10/2004 12:03

ooooooooooh er
its very audience participation and after having seen chalenge anneka faking an orgams n stage

AussieSim · 20/10/2004 12:05

I loved it. Better in the company of girlfriends rather than the opposite sex. It isn't supposed to be 100% comedy and addresses some serious issues relating to women in society.

JoolsToo · 20/10/2004 12:05

audience participation? the mind boggles

codswallop · 20/10/2004 12:06

but it is so AMerican the terminologya dn the.. well all of it
AWFUL waste of 20 quid.
and loads of whooped up women. embarassing.

hatter · 20/10/2004 12:06

I thought it was wonderful. It made me laugh and it made me cry. I saw it with Sophie Dahl and Helen Margolis (sp?) both of whom made it for me, esp the latter, she was fab.

codswallop · 20/10/2004 12:07

I reallyt hthink I must have missed something
all four of us satt here like lemons

AuntyQuated · 20/10/2004 12:08

no, wouldn't recommend it.
went last year...audience, i thought, seemed to be prudish, nervously laughing at things they would not normally laugh/talk/even think about.
there were 4 of us and we all felt a bit let down.

mums the word is soooo much better

codswallop · 20/10/2004 12:10

aq, mass htsyeria?
was it in southampon?
cannot find the thread at all

tinyganghq · 20/10/2004 12:12

Oh AQ I sooo wanted to see 'Mums the Word' - by the time I finally got to London it had ended. Did you see it in London or (gets hopeful) does it show elsewhere too?

Lol at Coddy's 'whooped up women' makes me cringe too!

codswallop · 20/10/2004 12:12

please help me find th e thread!

tinyganghq · 20/10/2004 12:14

It was Southampton that I saw Vagina Monologues, Coddy.

codswallop · 20/10/2004 12:14

codswallop · 20/10/2004 12:16

iwll contact us!

tinyganghq · 20/10/2004 12:16

Yes, she had a beautiful voice, I thought. Remember something about a 'coochie snorcher' (sp?)

codswallop · 20/10/2004 12:17

oh yes
thanks for that joyous memory
( eye roling emoticon)

listmaker · 20/10/2004 12:18

I saw mums the word in Bristol so they do travel round. It was brilliant and probably better than the vagina monolgues but I did enjoy that too. Try and ignore the hype and see what you think.

AuntyQuated · 20/10/2004 12:18
