It's getting to that time of the year and DS (4.5) has no decent pockets in his school coat in which to stuff his gloves - would he be laughed out of the playground if he was running around with gloves dangling from elastic or do people still do this?!!

Phone me an ambulance... need to get to hospital... split my sides... laughing... HELP... what's even funnier is when she grips his hair in her vice like fingers and pulls... and then slaps the bald patch... daddy's little angel...

dh told me off when I ws in labour- for not thanking him for helping me out of the bath in the hospital... i just stood and cried and told the midwife he was picking on me ( very rational and mature on my part I know but I was in labour at the time)

I'll thank you for less of the "lazy moos" lou!

How did this thread get from mitten strings to the human race dying out if men had to give birth?!

Stripymouse · 18/10/2004 07:25

I was teased in the playground for having egg yellow hand knitted mittens with strings round them...kept wearing them though as I was a lazy child and liked the convenience of not having to hunt for them in pockets or school bag when it was cold - very sad child!
Have you asked him his opinion about whether he would like ti or not? Most kids are fairly vocal and opinionated about such matters - even at 4 years

Lou33 - I now own one of those prison officer style belts, complete with long chain for keys, puch to hide keys in (some prisons have photographic memories when it comes to keys) and a little whislte too
