ever had them waxed?

Would you recommend it?

No to waxing - do what I do and plait instead (very neat and you can accessorise with hair bobbles).

you know what I am just idly stroking my 2 day growth and it really isn't that bad

When I was PG with DS1 and under the impression I was going to have a natural birth with no pain relief (HA!) I grew my armpit hair to it's luxurious maximum as an outward symbol of my natural ideals.

I tried doing myself with waxing strips - hopeless - much easier with a razor. Have to say though - don't bother that much in the winter - only if I'm wearing something sleeveless - its not worth the hassle

Isn't there some stuff out to make the hairs thinner when they grow back after shaving (or is it just my imagination ??

lou33 · 11/10/2004 19:23

Avon do something like that I think.

I've tried the deodorants and creams that are supposed to slow hairgrowth (in fact did a controlled test by using only on one leg/armpit and usual stuff on the other side) - absolute waste of money!
I have an oriental wax (honey based I think) everywhere every 3-4 weeks and the regrowth does seem to get a little less every time BUT dh is not very happy in the week before wax is due so am considering going back to the old razor and creams.
