I give up, it's just never going to get done :(

The decorating that is.

We have been here over 3 mths now and dp has done one room and even that isn't completely finnished.

He is supposed to be doing ds's room and so far it has taken him 3 mths to strip it and paint the wood work and it's a bloody box room.

Today he was supposed to start putting up the paper but no he has sat here all afternoon and done sod all. Oh no sorry correction, he has swept the living room floor.

We still have 3 bedrooms, a bathroom, a kitchen and hall stairs and landing to do yet and he just isn't interested.
He can't make the excuse that we don't have the stuff cos it's all sitting under the stairs waiting for him.

I really wanted the kids rooms done for xmas so that they could have room for their new toys

We ended up rowing about it last week, so this week he has done it.

Fingers crossed the painting will get done in the week and Ds can move in

Then on to dd2's room.

oh nutty - my dh is exactly the same. We had our back 2 bedrooms extended 2 years ago and at the same time extended the landing and bathroom (moved it all back basically). Bedrooms were decorated (due to decorators!) and bathroom only just fixed and due for painting/new floor - still waiting for hall stairs and landing to be decorated (bought paper a year ago in Laura Ashley sale) and then onto the lounge! Worse thing is we are actually using a decorator to hang the paper so just waiting for dh to do the bloody woodwork!!!

Nutty honestly papering isn't hard, I am useless at all this stuff but even I managed to paper a ceiling once!
