bit grannyish

JuniperDewdrop · 30/09/2004 22:52

I like wraparound dresses. They're all over now

blossomhill · 30/09/2004 22:52

Sorry - it won't let me link to a specific dress. It was basically in the dress section and it was a cord dungaree mini-dress. I personally didn't like it and cannot see anyone who would.

Nothing to do with the clothes but LIPSY always makes me laugh because a friend's DH who is a dentist got hold of that number plate years ago for his car - am always seeing it around town. Must be worth a fortune to the Lipsy people!

Thomcat · 30/09/2004 23:41

I'm with CountessDracula on this one.
When's your birthday BH?

enid · 30/09/2004 23:48

I've never seen that website before - I think its tragic, but then I am 10 years older than you bh.

blossomhill · 01/10/2004 11:15

tc - 21st October!!!

enid - After my 2 children were born very close together I was a complete frump and had no time for me or even to care about what I was wearing/looked like. Now that I do and can I like to go a bit OTT when I go out. I am also 30 going on 21, I am so young really - not ready to grow up. Mind you all of my friends wear things like that and a lot of them are in there mid 30's!

Ooohhh you are exactley 7 days younger than me!!!

I am going to be twenty ten though or twenty seven as DD keeps reminding everyone!!

I would go for jeans, strappy top, long earring and hig shoes to match - they have a lovely green pair in NEXT at the mo that would go with that top!! (Actually at the mo I would wer a tent as would probably be the only thing I wouldbe comfy in but in RL when not preggers woudl go for the jeans and top option!!)

You are obviously much more confident than me too!!

blossomhill · 01/10/2004 11:20

Another 74 baby!!!! Yeah I probably will go for the jeans and top option. I would feel more comfortable TBH!

Tessiebear · 01/10/2004 11:30

That dress is FAB!!!!! Perfect dress for your 30th!!!

Titania · 01/10/2004 11:30

um......when has a size 10-12 been a medium/large!!!!!

i bet you got a great figure blossom....you must have!!!

blossomhill · 01/10/2004 11:31

I was quite tiny about 18 months ago. I have put on a stone over the past year (far too much wine and sitting on here). I always put weight on around my stomach, bum and hips. The one thing I do like is bigger boobs. How can I lose weight but keep the boobs?

I would wear all of them and I am nearing 38! The nightie style dress I would tend to wear with jeans though. First one is my fave for a celebration, if you want a change from jeans.

blossomhill · 01/10/2004 12:07

Thanks lou! Didn't think of wearing the 2nd one with jeans. It would look lovely!

Don't forget the heels!

LipstickMum · 01/10/2004 12:11

Oh My God!! Wear it while you still can ;)

LipstickMum · 01/10/2004 12:12

oops i meant

blossomhill · 01/10/2004 12:16

The only thing is I can't wear heels that are too high as they kill my feet. I do like to dance most of the night away and need comfortable feet!!!

2 1/2 or 3 inches should do it.
