I was with my friend eating dinner at a nearby pub. It's a bit off the beaten track. No one knew we were there as it was an impromptu visit.
Is just finished eating when the barman came over and said there was a family call for me, asking my first name. I thought it was strange as my mobile hasn't rung or anything.
When I got to the phone a man was on the phone. I asked who it was there was a hesitation before he said a name I didn't recognise. Didn't recognise his voice. He said my car had been clamped. Obviously this was strange as it was a pub car park around 10pm. I felt confused so I said I'd be right out to check.
Two men from the pub who overheard came out with me and my friend, to be safe. There was no one out there in the dark car park that I could see and my car was ok. I went home as quick as I could.
I'm racking my brains and I can't understand this. Was someone trying to lure me out? No other cars were clamped either. No one knew I was at the pub. Could it have been random?
Just thought I'd ask for people's opinions as now I'm a bit uneasy.
