O.k I am going to a party on 6th November and i want to look fab...Help

My cousin gets married at the end of October in Las Vegas and then they are having a reception here on 6th November.

I want to look fab, I want people to look and think 'doesn't she look great' e.t.c.
Yes I know it does sound very vain but I am sick of goiung to things like this and always regretting what I wore, how i did my hair e.t.c. and so I am determined to impress.

Firstly I need to lose a stone in weight. I have been watching what i eat for the past few weeks and have now got an exercise dvd too.

I need to decide what to do with my hair

I need to find an outfit that will look great but that I am comfortable in

I need to sort my makeup out.

So anyone up for the challenge ???

Oh this all has to be done as cheaply as poss by the way

Also, not sure if it has been mentioned... but get some really nice undies - I always think if you are wearing good bra and knicks you have the confidence to take on the world!

Not sure if this is common to all Debenhams but at the main one in Manchester, on the top floor there is a huge amount of old and fairly recent stock massively reduced - I recently went and bought about 8 things including trousers and skirts for under 50 quid.... you can get gorgeous bras for 3 quid - have to rummage around a bit but well worth it...

Another thing for confidence is to know you look and feel good - so make sure you practice the look - dry run makeup and hair and accesories a couple of times before night out just to make sure it all works...

Right an update....

I chickened out a brought sparkly jeans instead. I did try on some dresses and was quite tempted by one but i can't afford to buy something that i probably won't wear again and so i got the jeans.
Am going to get a sparkly top to go with it and some nice shoes.
