I googled Prof Roy Meadow and someone had posted an article about him being discredited and here I am

colinsmommy · 17/09/2004 21:29

Was worried that my 9-mo old wasn't getting enough to eat, so googled something along those lines. Found American forums, but they either didn't post much or were to Stepford wifey or too bland. Found a thread on MN and could tell right away that the site was better and more interesting than anything else I found. I figured nobody would want me around since I was in US, but wanted to be on this site anyway, and so far I was wrong about that.

stumbled across it on the internet looking for information about c-sections. Definitely addicted now, wish I had found it during pregnancy.

my lovely friend Grommit told me to take a look at this great site she had found. she was right it is

Maybe if I'd found it before I had kids I would have thought twice having them

80sMum · 17/09/2004 23:11

I found it by chance. Was looking for info on nursery grant in google and one of these threads came up.

mears · 18/09/2004 00:39

Jasper told me about it. I was really impressed by the level of breastfeeding support she got. I got addicted though

I was looking for a Wheetabix recipe!!!

fisil · 18/09/2004 06:06

Heard about it on Women's Hour, saw the book in Border's and bought it. When I finished the book I had withdrawal symptoms so I came here and never left.

I was on ivillage when I was pg before, and left in a huff when several people made assumptions about my relationship cos DP is not a DH!

SoupDragon · 18/09/2004 07:53

Kate, what do you mean "It's all soupdragon's fault" ? Surely you mean "it's all thanks to the wonderful Soupdragon..."

I looked at it to review it for our NCT magazine a couple of years back and stayed.

littlemissbossy · 18/09/2004 09:19

Read the article in the Sunday Times re Carrie et al earlier this year ... and have a look in most days

fabarooney · 18/09/2004 21:14

Another Sunday Times reader!

Chinchilla · 18/09/2004 21:30

Hula - That was me! I was under my old name. I used to find that there were never any new threads on RK.

I found MN via Prizefinder.com.

Hulababy · 18/09/2004 22:00

Ha ha Chinchilla - I remember how much flack your post created after mentioning MN too Mind you it had the desired affect. There is more than just me who came to have a look from that post.
