I am apparently a successful artist living in Australia (!)

Quite strange seeing someone else with your full name, particularly as mine is quite unusual. Mega spooky when there is a photo.

Tanzie · 29/08/2004 21:20

I am only me as I have an unusual first name and surname. A couple of really obscure things from my last job - that's all.

colinsmommy · 29/08/2004 21:31

Yes, and I don't exist anywhere pre- or post-marriage. Does that mean I'm not really here?

discordia · 29/08/2004 21:31

Blimey, my namesakes are just as boring as I am!!! I'm big in the insurance industry (funnily enough my namesake in this instance is married to somebody with my husband's name) and also I'm a planning official in Yorkshire (yawn!). Before marrying I appear to have been a champion squash player. Woo hoo.

Canadianmom · 29/08/2004 21:32

My DH has an unusual last name and at last count there were 12 pages of responses when I googled his name and 90% of them were HIM! Sorry if it sounds as if I am bragging; I am genuinely impressed as I had no idea how well known his work has become. There are zilch for me...

popsycal · 29/08/2004 21:38

pepsi · 29/08/2004 22:36

Sorry for being thick, her but when you say have you googled your name does this just mean go to google and type your name in the search engine and see what comes up, or am I missing something?

Chandra · 29/08/2004 22:45

I am ranked 569 in some sport or other, can't deduce which, I basket weave. At 1.30pm between 18 and 20th June this year, I was at the Pennsylania Lavender Festival, holding a talk about crafting with lavender. I have also become "well-known for her workshops, teaching the construction of fresh herb wreathes, fresh flower candlestick creations, tussie-mussies (nosegays with herbal symbolism), summer salads, herb vinegars, oils and pesto, edible flowers and more ", in New Jersey. I was singing the white cliffs of dover in Hungerford in February as well. I organise school club, and play violin. What a busy person I am!

mckenzie · 30/08/2004 09:51

my married name just comes up with links to results websites from races and triathlons that i've taken part in (and I've now been reminded of some terrible results, ouch!) but my maiden name produced nothing much at all.

Linnet · 30/08/2004 10:33

I am an artist in Australia. I'm quite pleased with that as I can't draw to save myself and have always wished that I could.

JanH · 30/08/2004 11:01

coddy, is your name Finnish? Had always assumed it was Italian or something!
