This 'shop' just gets worse

With knockers and 'Nuts' at a two year olds eye level, ( despite me nagging) sweets and chocolates (to drive under 16's wild) their refusal to stock Junior despite my asking and asking ( one year later its in pride of place next to 'ZOO'A massive cig counter. The lottery (wtf) and PLAYBOY pencil cases in every size and shape for 'little girls' What has happened to that lovely bookshop and stationers we all loved?

This shop is a bloody disgrace

I only went in to buy Homes and Gardens and i came out with cardboard and marker pens

why does anyone shop there? i can't think of one thing i would go in there for.

I haven't been in there for about a year 'cos of the Playboy stuff (they have been lobbied about it and have refused to remove it, unlike John Lewis).

I really hate the section with grim authobiographic books. However it is one of my favourite spot for some guilty browsing (among the gossip and design magazines) and I tend to go alone...

It's a terrible shop. I completely avoid it. The books are always top price. The music selection is dire. The rest is appalling, so expensive and something and nothing.

amd I dont think toddlers will mind boobs that much, tbh...

Our WHS had a nice tasteful range of cards etc called "Nice Beaver" or something similar. This was right by the newspapers, and even DH was offended (and he NEVER gets offended).

They have now been removed - I wonder if it was due to complaints?

my good friend used to be a manager for them. staff are leaving in droves. tis awful.

I agree the store has lost its way, but that's market forces.

With regards to Playboy, I rather admire the fact that they're sticking to their guns despite being lobbied. Who the hell likes being lobbied ... it's bound to bring out the worst in you.

And as for tits at eye level? Isn't that called breast-feeding? My son sees mine every day. I would imagine tits are more normal than Noddy to his malleable consciousness.
