Anyone else who missed the 'deadline' for the penpals thread

I have a 4yo and a 2yo (both boys) who would love to have a penpal! Would anyone be interested in exchanging letters with them?

They are interested in most things really - especially trains, animals, growing vegetables, space/planets/rockets, the human body, all sorts of things really.

Thanks for bumping PFNM

Am I the only one who missed it then? Or aren't my children good enough for yer?

Oooooooh Greeny well you know who would just LOVE to be ds1's penpal

or is he a bit too young?
he listed his interests on the other thread as:

pins and stuff
art
standing on the sofa and jumping off the sofa
sticks

Nemo2007 · 19/04/2007 13:32

I have a 3yr old boy who could be a penpal to someone[obviously I would write his letters} but think he would love his own letters!!

Lullabyloo · 19/04/2007 13:33

Greeny...i'm on the list but ds is 2.8 and loves similar things....

Nemo2007 · 19/04/2007 13:33

pruni I also assumed it was for older children so didnt look..think for the toddlers though it is a good idea.

Tatties · 19/04/2007 16:03

My ds is only just 2, so not really up to writing letters yet - but he would be able to pick out postcards to send, and I'm sure he'd love to receive them. He likes trains, fruit & veg, bikes, books and going to the playgound

Tatties · 19/04/2007 16:04

Aarrghhh playground

Nemo2007 · 19/04/2007 20:54

so how does this work then?

fryalot · 19/04/2007 20:55

I suspect that if you give comoveneer time to sort out the ones that she has got, she will be more than happy to add other kids to the scheme.

Nemo2007 · 21/04/2007 10:39

should we just sort this out ourselves seeing as they are all similair ages?

Greensleeves · 21/04/2007 10:40

I was wondering how we should organise it. Maybe we should draw names out of a hat orsomething

OP posts:
Nemo2007 · 21/04/2007 13:16

thats a good idea or do we want to do it so they are people who are closer to each other so as the children get older they could possibly meet?? Or is that a bit much

alibobins · 21/04/2007 13:22

I've got a DD age 6.9 who would love a penpal. She likes everything she goes dancing and to football

Or have I left it too late.

ComeOVeneer · 21/04/2007 13:28

The only reason I did a deadline was that otherwise when would I sort them out into pairs if people added all the time. I had to stop it at some point. I am still trying to collect all the details and sort it all out.

ComeOVeneer · 21/04/2007 13:31

Franny and Lullabyloo do you not want me to pair you up then? Shall I take your names of the list?

Kaleidoscope · 21/04/2007 13:42

Oh I missed this..is it too late?

nally · 21/04/2007 13:49

Hi Greeny... I have just been speaking with ds (4yo in 3 weeks time) and he has listed his interests as all of the same things as your ds1, plus dinosaurs and power rangers. Any good??? If not, is there anyone else who would like to write to him.

Also, dd1 has said she needs a penpal. She is 5yo and is basically a very girly girl. Her interests are, in her words, "ponies, butterflies, fairies, princesses, love and hearts and Barbies too"

Nemo2007 · 21/04/2007 14:01

Ds has added to his list..lol
He likes power rangers, superman, spiderman, swimming and lazy town. Oh hes just said and riding his bike..

threelittlebabies · 21/04/2007 14:29

Am I too late to join in?

ds is 4.5 and likes pirates especially Captain Jack Sparrow, power rangers and ninja turtles and pretty much anything else. He likes climbing and playing in the garden, and loves drawing and swimming.

Kaleidoscope · 21/04/2007 14:36

i posted lower down..but wonered, am I too late to join???, the most likely candidate is my 6 year old ds, he loves, bugs, reptiles, and dr who

Kaleidoscope · 21/04/2007 14:37

wondered that should be, not wonered, apologies, fading letters on keyboard
