my cat just attacked a baby mouse

I managed to get the cat off it, and saw it was still alive and not hurt, but I think its in shock. I have put it in a cage, with water and food, what else can I do

To be honest, there's not much to be done if he's in shock.. However if he survives the night you can ring the RSPCA or free him in open area (Your neighbours are not going to love you but they don't need to know )

it was in the garden, We have a field behind us and my old cat was always bring them in, normally dead though.

Its still just laying there, its alive but I don't think it will make it, I'm going to put it outside now and hope its ok.

Kindest thing would be to kill it I'm afraid, it's only suffering. Probably had a heart attack. Has your cat got a bell on it's collar?
