Well. I managed to get demons school jumpers. They had no polo shirts in stock. So I went to sainsburys to see if they had any green ones without the badge. Nope. None at all. Not even a white one in her size. hmm So I ordered from tesco embroidery service. A fucking tenner for 2 polo shirts for a 3 year old. But they might not be here on time for her starting nursery. So I'm going to go into the school office and see if they have any I can buy (they keep a supply of them to sell) in 2-3 years. Which btw is still massive on her..
Then while I was in sainsbos I got her some shoes, no socks that would fit so got white tights. Then looked for a pinafore (skirt and pants will fall down as they don't do them small enough in the waist) not a single one in 2-3. Smallest was age 5! Luckily my mum used to build teddy bears before having us kids and is handy with a needle and thread. She told me to buy it and fixed it so it sort of fits her. Grin

Obviously she's supposed to have a polo shirt too but look at her. It drowns her Grin And that's the smallest size jumper they do!

How are you zombie?

Fatty she is beautiful and so cute in her too-big uniform!

BathshebaDarkstone · 07/01/2017 18:37

I've discovered that if I leave it too late, they've run out of anything nice in their sizes. Tbh I was astounded that they had them in already! Shock

iklboo · 07/01/2017 18:53

Hearts - we used to have pet ratties. Wink

BathshebaDarkstone · 07/01/2017 18:55

Demon is so cute in her uniform!

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 07/01/2017 19:02

iklboo I've heard they make amazing pets.

Our new house backs on to a lovely wooded ravine so we have been finding lots of evidence of little visitors (mice not rats). DH doesn't know it yet but we are getting a cat. Grin

Allalonenow · 07/01/2017 19:21

The dishy is the Clettering Machine here! Xmas Grin

Fiderer · 07/01/2017 19:37

Royal You have v gorgeous children.

No sign of TR. Prob cos I'm avoiding the ground floor & shall be wearing clothes made of wisps of dust & my old bedding for the next 6 years.

Have figured out if I retrieve my boots, hat & coat, from downstairs, I can just catapult myself off the balcony to go to work.

OhTheRoses · 07/01/2017 19:44

Oh sweet demon.

Fid, get the fidlets to go ahead and make a din. It will disappear.

HerRoyalFattyness · 07/01/2017 19:51

Thank you
fid I agree to getting the fidlets to make loads of noise.

UnbornMortificado · 07/01/2017 20:33

Fatty your daughter is beautiful 😍

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 07/01/2017 20:46

I can send my two over to make lots of noise. They are great at it. Plus I imagine they would fancy a trip to Forrin.

Fiderer · 07/01/2017 20:55

You're all heart, Heart [wink)

My lot are noisy enough, thanks all for the tip.

Fiderer · 07/01/2017 20:56

Wink even

Mummylin · 07/01/2017 20:57

I have friends in Düsseldorf , shall I ask them to come around and sort it out ? 😀

Mummylin · 07/01/2017 20:59

Zombie, how are you today ? Any tips for Fids Rat ? Hope you managed a decent nights sleep last night and that tummy isn't causing you gyp like yesterday.

Susiesoap7 · 07/01/2017 21:07

Royal your little girl is lovely! I vote for fid catapulting off the balcony with pics please lol! 🤑

bookbook · 07/01/2017 21:20

HRF - she is gorgeous, and so dinky! Have been out today helping DD take DGS to get shoes. I think she thought I could help Hmm... He is the opposite to your little beaut- he's just 4 , and in 5-6 year old clothes !
I have been watching some strange new talent show, while knitting a square for the Candy Hugs. 1 down, and a few more to go while I can :)
Fiderer - no upstairs fire escape, for a sneaky retreat? , or knotted bedsheets and rappel down :)

SeamstressfromTreacleMineRoad · 07/01/2017 21:22

Yet another de-lurker here, who's been reading these threads for a long time, in admiration and with a roller-coater of emotions for everything that Zombie has been through - if I bring some butterscotch instant whip, may I join the Phalanx please?

I'm just popping in to sympathise with Fiderer about her rat (we had a cat who just loved to bring them for us as presents - nothing like opening your front door to find a large rat laid out dead on the mat...!) Agree that a large cat or a friendly neighbour's terrier is probably your best bet for getting rid.

MrsMozart · 07/01/2017 21:54

Zombie I hope today was a good one lass.

TheMagicFarawaySleeps · 07/01/2017 22:08

Hi Zombie, hope you're having a decent day today and that the pain patches are doing their thing.

Fiderer - if you put wellies or boots on before going downstairs, for Gods sake check them for livestockrats first. Mind you, they'd keep your feet warm!

HRF - you sound like the most amazing mum Star, and I'm so glad your ex is an ex. He sounds like a first rate dickhead with no sense of responsibility or priorities.

Don't worry about fish fingers and nuggets, kids think they're food of the Gods so they might well think they're being spoiled Grin.

My dad was a twat who left my mum v short of cash too. All I remember is her being amazing, and your kids will think the same. Not sure if it helps, but at DDs school, a few of us have a clothes swap going on. Any grown out of stuff, especially uniform, gets passed to parents with younger kids. The ones with younger kids then pass theirs down when they've finished with them. If there isn't anything at your DKids school, can you speak to the PTA and get one set up? All our parents love it.

Baths - sorry again if I offended you. I'd been reading something along the lines you were talking about, and mentioned it to you. But I probably should have kept my big gob shut. Sorry Flowers.

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 07/01/2017 23:18

Oh Fid yes please catapault off the balcony.

Maybe you'd better borrow Zombie's cape?

PacificDogwod · 07/01/2017 23:53

Hi, Zombie and Phalanx, hope you are doing ok.

I'm still here, but RL is a bit intense at the mo' so mainly lurking from time to time.
Hope you are all in decent gin rations Thanks

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 07/01/2017 23:57

Hi Pacific, we definitely do have indecent gin rations Grin

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 07/01/2017 23:58

Hope you're OK too.
