Yes it does Unborn, cheers!

Lin!!
Shock
I'm mortified! What kinda lazy hooker lets her tools of the trade go rusty??????

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 05/01/2017 14:29

Oh don't apologise Unborn, thanks for linking!

(I just saw her on that thread so thought to ask.
But the mentioning of rusty instruments make me doubt her competence!
😉😂)

Allalonenow · 05/01/2017 14:32

Zing look in your inbox, Knotty & Pistey will have messaged you about Candy's Hugs. Xmas Smile

UnbornMortificado · 05/01/2017 14:39

I wish I could do something more useful. I saw on t'other thread Fid taught her daughter. Think I'm going to see if DD1 would like to give a couple I go.

My mam (so her gran) had cancer last year so she would be interested.

Would you say 12 was old enough to learn Zing? She loves craft stuff and is fairly talented.

bookbook · 05/01/2017 14:44

Unborn - my DM taught me to knit when I was about 10. However, I have tried to teach my DD , with no success . She has started to crotchet though ( at 35! ) and doing well . Its wanting to do it that is what matters most :)

Fiderer · 05/01/2017 14:51

Fool that I am I told FidGirl about this (she is v fond of Z) and she's been poking me with needles since. She was 9 when I taught her, 14 now.

I have been googling madly and following MN links.

UnbornMortificado · 05/01/2017 15:06

Bless her Fid you just do what your told Grin

That's really encouraging book (you not your DD)

I'll give it a try, there may be advice hand holding needed.

bookbook · 05/01/2017 15:16

Its like riding a bike Fiderer honest!

Mummylin · 05/01/2017 15:23

Only joking Zing, I have lots of tools !!

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 05/01/2017 15:27

Allalone

I asked for link for others, coz I can't link on phone! (
LMAO, it wasn't for me, bless you!
I've got 3 notices so far, FB page, PM & Yarnie link. I'm everywhere😂
Cheers though sweetie! Mwah

UnbornMortificado · 05/01/2017 15:49

I'm on the FB post, it's weird thinking of fellow mumsnetters as real actual people.

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 05/01/2017 16:06

Love love love the Woolly Hugs / Candy's Hugs idea. Knotty and Pistey are so amazing and Zombie so are you.

DD2 has turned into quite the little crocheter. I think my mum taught her the basics a couple of years ago and she has just been going for it since then. Her teacher (well, his wife) had a baby recently and she crocheted a baby blanket for them! more of a scarf really but who cares

I might get her to re-teach me and then learn how to do maple leaf squares or something. That would be fun. Off to find YouTube tutorials!

SpiralArchitect · 05/01/2017 16:24

Delurking, as I have resolved to no longer be too shy to post regularly on an anonymous forum!

Zombie , you're amazing and so is the WH blanket project in your honour. Flowers

Susiesoap7 · 05/01/2017 16:31

Think I've found the needles, just got to get some wool! I might make a woolly hug dress lol!

BathshebaDarkstone · 05/01/2017 17:25

BathsLad will also be sober if he's invited, he doesn't like the taste either. Xmas Confused

BathshebaDarkstone · 05/01/2017 18:00

I wonder if BathsLad would like to wear a fascinator? Xmas Grin

BathshebaDarkstone · 05/01/2017 18:08

Unborn I'm not a real actual person! Xmas Grin

MadisonAvenue · 05/01/2017 18:18

Love the idea of Candy's Hugs! Shall get knitting for it ASAP, the chosen colours are gorgeous.

OhTheRoses · 05/01/2017 18:38

I might do some knitting too. Woolly Hugs are a marvellous initiative and Candy's hugs a perfect development of the theme. MNet at its best.

MrsMozart · 05/01/2017 18:41

I've ordered wool and thanks to Knotty have had it sent to someone who can knit/crochet, i.e. not me... Hopefully she'll have fun. If she was close enough I'd make tea and provide biscuits to keep her going Cake Brew

bookbook · 05/01/2017 18:44

Ooooh! I have just had a pm from Knotty to say wool from a donor is on its way ! Will I know who has donated?

Fiderer · 05/01/2017 18:57

FidGirl 's been poking me with needles all day. Wretch of a child. Should have said nothing. Or taught her how to knit.

Knotty/Pistey are sending wool over to me here in Forrin

UnbornMortificado · 05/01/2017 19:07

Bath vampire?

I don't drink either so Bathslad is in good company.

I have donated although I feel like that's the lazy option. It's lovely to see how many people care about zombie.

BathshebaDarkstone · 05/01/2017 19:14

I've donated money for wool as I can't knit!

Unborn I'm just a figment of your imagination! Xmas Wink

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 05/01/2017 19:32

Woolly Hugs is just fabulous, just thinking about everything they've done brings tears to my eyes.

This is a typically perfect development for them and Zombie.

StarKnottyStarZombieStarPistey

Pistey was actually the first MNetter I spoke to at my first meet up. Aw!
