following on from previous thread, I realise I have no many idea how many toys is quite a lot

I know its all inverse snobbery but....gwan and humour me

mine have 2 crates between 2 of them and a jumble of ride ons, bikes and so forth. Oh and a wendy house thing.

and yes they have books but that doesn't count, does it? they all have books.

too many to count They have taken over the house. In my defence I have only bought and handful of them and a pile are going to car boot next week. Whatever I dont sell is being given to charity shop.

DD has an horrendous amount of toys, way too many to count and list! But to be fair she does play with them all, and takes care of her things. They all have homes too. DD is an only child, and only grandchild/niece on one side, and only one of two on other side (my neice was born 6 months ago) - and I have a big family.

Books definitely don't count!

paulaplumpbottom · 01/02/2007 19:32

Its way to many

Marne · 01/02/2007 19:36

way too many, we pick up alot at car-boot sales, the girls room is full and the garden is full of ride-ons, sand pits etc...

Fillyjonk · 01/02/2007 19:40

hmm

is no one going to say "not enough, not enough"?

OP posts:
lovelymoo · 01/02/2007 20:26

my kids have far too many - totally spoilt as only grankids on eitherside and Dp has a fairly paid job so insists on buying them everything too. We had to build an extra room downstairs to put them somewhere. I even tell people when they ask what do DD's wnat for b'day/xmas i say no more toys but noone listens

BarbieLovesKen · 01/02/2007 20:38

Way, way too many, could not possibly list them - DD is only 15months yet the toys are taking over the house!! BUT we have vowed that each year, before Santa comes, at least two bin bags of toys HAVE TO go "to the babies who don't have as much" - we cleared out 3 bags this xmas - sent to charity - even though shes so small and probably does'nt notice/care - we want to get the habit started from day one!. (in our defense, she plays with EVERY toy, so makes good use of them all...)

Nemo2007 · 01/02/2007 20:41

couldnt tell you how many as such but have garden toys[lots thanks to pil] and there is a toy box downstairs and a kitchen ride on toy that is DDs and a dolls pram.
Ds has a toy box full of cars in his room then lots of jigsaws and board games. In the DDS room there is one toy box and a rocking panda[belongs to ds] and a bouncing zebra thing.

Lizzylou · 01/02/2007 20:42

I can honestly say that DS's have far more toys between them now (2 yrs 10mths and 11mths) than myself and my brother did throughout our entire childhood...
Quite disgusting really and I am planning what to buy/ask for for their birthdays in March at the moment BUT I make sure they grow up knowing to look after them and tidy them up at the end of the day!

Gameboy · 01/02/2007 20:46

A playroom full
2 bedrooms full
A littering elsewhere in the house too...

... too many....

mytwopenceworth · 01/02/2007 20:48

bloody hell, itemise the kids toys? hellfire! I have no clue.

2 huge boxes (crates really!) of assorted crap and unidentifyable plastic rubbish, an 8 drawer cabinet of art & craft stuff, 5 shelves of the more expensive stuff and about a hundred books. plus a sega and a disney thing that plugs into the tv and they can play games on, which live downstairs.

plus what's under the bed, which would probably fill another box.

oh, and a big roses tin of those small cars that get every bloody where and a bag of k-nex. f@{@%^&&% k-nex.

Bozza · 01/02/2007 20:50
