... then we just carry on jabbering and perving, and rewatching, and, well business as usual. Apparently there are plenty of thighs on display at the Olympics.

And yy to Laura Trott being amazing, she's wonderful.

Men's points race in the omnium starting now. Come on Cav!!!!

LetUsPrey · 15/08/2016 21:30

Badderz it's enough to keep track of how old your own DC are (at least it is for me and there's only two of them) never mind anyone else's! He's 9.5. Am phoning the GP tomorrow. There's a particular one I want to see but no idea how booked up she is especially when I can't get time off this week at all, but I'm hoping she'll have something free for the day when I have an early finish.

Good luck getting an appointment soon letus

Am a bit concerned about Cav after it looked like he took out another rider - and the poor rider stretchered off obv Sad

Badders123 · 15/08/2016 21:49

Good plan.
School ok? Maybe ask for a meeting with them too? Get another perspective? which you can then ignore if it's bollocks :)
I thought he was the same age as My ds2 but he is 8 next month
I can't be doing with the cycling atm - there was an "interview" earlier with cavendish and hoy and it was utter gibberish Confused
I can't help thinking the dressage people have just...wasted their lives Grin
I think ds1 might be part Amish - he keeps muttering about how there female gymnasts "are hardly wearing anything!" ShockGrin

FancyFancy · 15/08/2016 21:54

I wouldn't say that about their leotards, but I often wonder why so many sports kits, especially of the women, don't have more fabric in the arse area - so many of them have to fish their shorts out of their cracks after a race/jump/dive etc Confused

LetUsPrey · 15/08/2016 22:00

Super at school and at childminder's. All the sighs.

My mother commented disapprovingly on the size of the men's trunks in the diving. I do not want my mother to be passing any sort of comment like that.

FancyFancy · 15/08/2016 22:01

Don't say that letus Shock I remarked on teh shorts to DD earlier

Badders123 · 15/08/2016 22:05

There must be a high degree of chafing Confused
I used a swear word in front of ds1 earlier Shock
We were discussing why what the female gymnasts wear is so skimpy and covered in bling and their faces covered in sparkly crap
I may have used the words "patriarchal bullshit"
Blush

Badders123 · 15/08/2016 22:05

Letus...you know he kicks off with you because he knows you love him unconditionally, right? You are his safe place X

LetUsPrey · 15/08/2016 22:05

There is a world, make that a universe, of difference between you and my DM Fancy Grin

LetUsPrey · 15/08/2016 22:07

Constantly remind myself of that Badderz

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 15/08/2016 22:11

If you want a giggle, I've just been crying with laughter at this thread:
Tell-me-your-2-year-old-has-done-worse?

We keep dipping in and out of cycling, which makes it even more confusing.

Sporting outfits are just weird. Love that Jess Ennis wears v. practical shorts.

Badders - the problem with dressage is that if you're doing it well it doesn't look like you're doing anything. When it's really bloody hard.

Yum! Ice cream time! Finishing the blackcurrant (oink!)

Commentator just said 'cavendish keeps cocking his leg'

the fuckton of glitter & sequins and the bloody awful make-up on many of them gives me the rage. I would more of them to buck the trend - look how good Mai Murakami looks

Yay silver for Cav Grin And Viviani is a blubbing wreck after winning gold, bless him. He rides for Sky, so he's practically a Brit Wink

Badders123 · 15/08/2016 22:24

Oh! She looks lovely fancy!

Badders123 · 15/08/2016 22:25

Helen...I'm just too much of a pleb to appreciate dressage Grin

LetUsPrey · 15/08/2016 22:29

The trampolinists don't seem to have the expectation to be glitterified. The male gymnasts manage to compete and put all those billions of training hours to the fore. Grrr.

Hurrah for Cav!

FancyFancy · 15/08/2016 22:30

Trotty in the elimination race in the omnium.

I agree badders - still looks elegant if that's what the judges want, and like a sportswoman - not like someone about to enter a child beauty pageant

Badders123 · 15/08/2016 22:31

Yes she looked lovely...very groomed Smile

Badders123 · 15/08/2016 22:32

Thought the other riders had much better music too!
Queen and Santana! Fab!

FancyFancy · 15/08/2016 22:33

Quite letus - i might not be so keen to test badders theory if they were covered in glitter. Missed your heads up re : Nicola Adams earlier - she's another one I love Grin

FancyFancy · 15/08/2016 22:39

Top marks for Trotty from the elimination race

Comtess · 15/08/2016 23:23

Oh isn't she just amazing!!

Read an interesting article on saddle soreness for the female cyclists which I thought the wenches would be interested in...

www.google.co.uk/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/sport/blog/2016/aug/15/team-gb-cycling-saddle-sore-medals?client=safari

So hard to get anything done with all the sport to watch! I felt Cav had done well even though he was obvs disappointed but Viv was soooo sweet. Aw.

When is Bolt in 200m Fancy? Musnt miss that.

So proud of GB doing so well!!!

Right, I'm off to be effective and purposeful today! Getting loads done

FancyFancy · 15/08/2016 23:29

200m round 1 is about 3.50pm tomorrow afternoon UK time comtess, semi final 2am Thursday, final 2.30am Friday. Have no idea what time that is for you Confused

And yy to Viviani being sweet, can't begrudge him the win really
