I'm back online [gri]

God i have missed you lot soooo much.

I have to say again how grateful I am for the cards and vouchers, i was literally shaking when i saw them all, i really couldn't belive it.
I hadn't a clue either so the undercover opo definatly woked .
My dad was quite speechles too which i a first.

Thanks too for all the messages on here, i could cry honestly.

Right here it is, the house move in detail.....

Absoloutly everything that could go wrong did go wrong.
Just a few to mention are, having no gas so no hot water or heating, getting the gas put on but the boiler not working, getting the boiler working but having no water coming out of the taps . Anyway eventually got that soreted.
My dad came to plumb the washing machine in only to find that once in, the cupboard and drawer wouldn't open, so i now have my machine at an angle . Oh and the new lino got snagged too.

Obviously the most annoying thing was having no phonme line. There was a fault on the line and it only got fixed today.

The house is brilliant though, needs loads of work but we are getting there. Don't know when my sofas are goiung to get here as i've had probs ordering them. Barclays won't authorise my payment because i haven't yet changed my address (will be doiung it tommorow).
The kids love it here and have settled in really well. I had a few wobbly moments where i felt like i didn't like it and was just worried constantly but i'm feeling loads better now.
My old neighbour gave me a lovely send off too, she shouted "go on then f**k off home" as i walked past yesterday .

So pleased that it's all over and i'm never ever ever moving again

Feels great to be back online, missed it sooooo much (blub blub blub)

ponygirl · 05/07/2004 00:29

Oh Nutcracker, I haven't been around much lately and missed all this. I'm soooo happy for you and so glad you've moved and (aside from the hellish moving-house glitches) you're in and happy. I'm so pleased (blub blub blub).

Well done you!

MadameButterfly · 05/07/2004 00:31

HI Nutty,

Glad to see you back online.

Do you think you will make it to the meet on Thursday? Hope so.

Take care and hope to see you soon.

nutcracker · 05/07/2004 00:34

Hi MB, just posted on the meet u thread. I can't make it i'm afraid, sorry. Dd1 has a carnival at school. Was really looking forward to it too but nevermind, i'll make the next one (DD1's social calender permitting )

tamum · 05/07/2004 00:34

I'm so pleased you're settled in nutty! I guess a few (?) teething problems are worth it. Great to hear that the children like it . In my old flat I used to have a washing machine right stuck out in the middle of my (very small) kitchen. I bought it without realising there was nowhere to put it so I made the plumber install it anyway, in front of one of the kitchen cupboards .

Anyway, it's lovely to hear from you and you just find some time to enjoy yourself

Tamum xxx

nutcracker · 05/07/2004 00:39

Ooooh meant to add that we will be taking piccies soon and will put them online for you to see.

codswallop · 05/07/2004 15:08

well odne nut

what will you use your vouchers on?

OP posts:
nutcracker · 05/07/2004 16:29

Well if i don't use them on the flooring (may b getting it from floors to go) I will use them on the kids bedroom furniture.

They really have been a big help though and stopped me worrying about how we'd afford this that and the other, so thanks again.

My mom said that she told a couple of people at work what you'd all done and she said they just looked at her like she was telling porkies and needed to lie down .

Been buying tester pots and ordering the border for the livivng room today, can't wait to get started.

codswallop · 05/07/2004 23:23
