Getting married in April and want to do a bag of some sort to keep kiddies happy/entertained during speeches and other boring bits.
have decided on sweets for all but stuck for other ideas.Don't fancy bubbles either.
So there is girls of 12,10 and 2.5 and boys of 11,9 and 4.

Any suggestions much appreciated.

I'd hate it if my kids were given sweets.

I'd like to see:

small wind up toys
a little book (little miss or Mr Men ???)
small note book and pencils / crayons
some fruit
bubbles

When I got married I did favours the same as the adults almond ones but with jelly beans instead

In my dd's there was a notepad, small pack of crayons, a little teddy, a little set of ladybird magnets, some bubbles and some thing else I think - was lovely. I was really impressed and dd was quiet throu speeches/meal as playing with the little magnets.

What about a mini etch-a-sketch thing? No mess and they don't run out?!
Finger puppets? Tub of mini animals...
The older ones are harder... Arty bits? But then again, they should be able to sit through speeches etc, shouldn't they?! Cards maybe?

Thanks all

Got some stuff yesterday.Got books, easy not too messy craft bits,hand-held games etc.

Decided against the sweets, figure they may be high as kites anyway eh?

Was thinking of asking the hotel if we would be allowed a space to set up a games console for the big ones?

we went to a wedding once where they had a bouncy castle for the kids, it was fantastic as where the bouncy castle was was fenced off so the kids couldnt go anywhere.

Bouncy castle is an idea, will investigate that one too!!

Thanks
