Michelle from Lakeland dead?????

Did anyone else hear that Michelle from Lakeland was dead? I heard that on the radio this morning, was not fully awake so not sure if I heard properly or if it was a joke or what. Coddy? have you heard anything?

She is (was?) Lakeland's marketing manager, or customer services manager (Coddy would know!). I'm not sure what happened, it was just a snipet on R2 this morning, wasn't really listening properly, but definitely heard the words "Michelle" "Lakeland" and "dead". I also heard she used to do a lot for charity. Sorry, I should have paid attention!

OMG, I hope not

Though I know a couple of years ago Terry Wogan mentioned on his show that she was very ill and they were all rooting for her (she does a lot for Children in Need) - I assumed it was cancer but didn't hear anything else about it.

Toothache and Gloworm, she is the Marketing Director (?) of a fantastic company called Lakeland (kitchenware, storage, craft stuff) and we have a sort of running joke on MN about her 'cos she sends individual letters out with the catalogues about what is going on in her life and what great new products she has tried.

very sad news.

Feel like we knew her personally and in spite of all the mickey taking, am sure we held her dear to our hearts.

She will be sadly missed.

We should write a collective letter to Lakeland.
