unfortunately not.

TheArmadillo · 12/01/2007 14:41

Sorry should explain - I hate lights on when I'm sleeping.

Door open - I do that cos I'm too lazy to shut it.

prettymum · 12/01/2007 14:45

no the lights are always swithched off, dont like it on and dd would wake up. door left open because im too lazy to get up and close it if im already in bed.

cheeryface · 12/01/2007 14:53

i have never thought about it before, have always done that but when i went to a spriitual healer about my bouts of anxiety she asked' do you sleep with the lights on' (not sure why)

someone said it isn't good for me either, something to do with melatonin?

I thought you were going to say hot water bottle! so i was going to say no your not the only one. But we also sleep with the door open and a light on in the spare room. The other night ds woke me up during a power cut and it was so dark I didn't know whether my eyes were open or shut!

expatinscotland · 12/01/2007 15:02

no.

i have the door cracked and the bathroom light on.

in case i need to go in to the girls' room.

paulaplumpbottom · 12/01/2007 15:12

I do but because I want to be able to hear DD if something is wrong and the light on so she can see if she gets out of bed.

TheBlonde · 12/01/2007 15:16

no light on here but the door is always wide open

ledodgy · 12/01/2007 15:18

No light but the bedroom door is always open as the handle has fallen off the inside and if it closes we get locked in!

paulaplumpbottom · 12/01/2007 15:34

Do you feel odd about this?

longwaytogoandabitfurther · 12/01/2007 15:36

door always open, the lo's have sting of thomas the tank lights on their bedroom.

cheeryface · 12/01/2007 16:51

not really odd but just come to think that everyone else sleeps in total darkness!

i have also read a report today that suggests light at night affects melatonin which could be related to cancer.

nikkie · 12/01/2007 19:34

I don't but do like to have the radio on

liath · 12/01/2007 19:37

Have the landing light on when DH is on night shift as I'm scared of the dark when I don't have my man in bed with me .

Hulababy · 12/01/2007 19:39

Landing light on here, but door only ajar. I am not keen on it being really dark, neither is DD.

poppiesinaline · 12/01/2007 19:39

I like it completely dark. As to whether the door is open or shut really depends on whether DH and I are 'having some fun'

TheBlonde · 12/01/2007 19:41

It's rarely properly dark here in London otherwise I might like a light on

downstairs hall light on. door wherever it lands but never clunked shut. if I'm on my own landing light or bathroom light on as well.

hatwoman · 12/01/2007 19:57

I thought this thread was going to say "with...a teddy bear". and i was going to fess up. which i've just done anyway. she's called Jasmine and she's not getting many cuddles at the moment as I fear her head might become fully severed. so she just sits next to the headboard. really need to find my sewing kit.

popsycal · 12/01/2007 19:57

door usually open so we can hear the boys when they wake during the night
lights usually off

but not always

HonorMatopoeia · 12/01/2007 19:58

Need it pitch black, have black out cutains everywhere. Door usually pushed to - lets light through if open - I may be a vampire!!

Skribble · 13/01/2007 00:33

Watch out for aeroplanes what with all those landing lights. These budget airlines land anywhere these days.

Door mostly shut but landing light has to be on or else dses get scared when wake up in night. Used to drive me mad as I couldn't sleep properly with the light on but I've kind of got used to it now.
