what's a salt lamp?

foundintranslation · 13/01/2007 11:25

We have a nightlight. I can't sleep in the dark ds (20 months) shares our room so I presume when he moves to his own room at some point he will want a nightlight too.

BettySpaghetti · 13/01/2007 11:28

Doors are shut, lights out in our room and DDs room. DS has a plug-in night light.

In the hallway we have a low energy bulb lamp on to aid any trips to the bathroom at night otherwise it is pitchblack.

We ahve the light on the landing which goes down to the dds rooms, and have our door open.
I always fing it odd now when we stay somewhere else and it's really dark! And if you have to shut the door.
No streetlights here, so seems v dark.

UniSarah · 13/01/2007 19:15

door open but lights off.
However as we live in a city with a street light out side our house its always light enough to go up stairs into kitchen take calpol out of cupboard measure a dose, open boys door ( his IS shut at night and he has dark lined curtains as hes at the front of house) give him calpol and go back to bed with out turning any lights on.
I find it v odd at my parents who live in rural nowhere as its soooooo dark at night.

Bathroom light on with door ajar, my bedroom door also ajar. Have the light on so ds can see his potty if he needs it (we have no loo upstairs and don't want him wandering downstairs in the dark, so have the potty in the bathroom.)

Fireflyfairy2 · 13/01/2007 19:32

I have 2 salt lamps!! Absolutely great!!! I bought mine online @ here I love them!!

runkid · 13/01/2007 20:17

I have light on and door ajar dont like to sleep in the dark. Salt lights look great

Edam · 13/01/2007 20:23

Landing light is on for ds. I have the door pulled shut but not quite as I want to hear ds if he's ill or anything. So there's a little light. Find total darkness and shut doors a bit oppressive tbh.

salt lamps look good, do they plug in or is it a tealight sort of thing?
