Couldn't agree more Obs. I'm really angry about this. There's no way we can avoid spoilers for 4 fucking months. There will be a way to watch it online, but it's appalling that BBC licence payers have to hack into other countries' channels in order to watch a show they have in part paid for on a tiny screen. This show is British through and through, writers, producers, actors (mostly), and yet it seems to be thrown out to the highest bidder.

Disagree fluff. How does it make me look bad. It's nothing nasty to Jess herself. It's not personal. It's the truth. UK fans are treated really badly. Many many of us said so all the way through these threads: promos in France and SA, no advertising and promos here. Now Released to other countries first, but UK fans, the place that pays for the series, through our fees, get it as one of the last.

Why should that be said in private? Which bit is factually incorrect?

It's not just about facts. You tweeted it to Jess, who has done so much for the Swagger Inn, which makes it personal. And the language and tone were offensive. If you want to complain feel free, it is very fucking annoying I agree, but do it to the right people and try to be a bit more reasoned and avoid phrases like "sloppy seconds". The BBC have not treated any of us like dirt, in fact quite the opposite. At the top of this thread is the poster that Jess sent you, after all.

But you said it to Jess Obs, which looks like somehow blaming her/it's her responsibility. E.g. Saying it publicly here on MN is different to tweeting it directly to the Executive Producer who has no control anyway.

I've said all along that nice Weinstein got involved it would be made for he BBC world wide market and re want events would seem to prove me right :(

If you have a complaint re scheduling then copy in the BBC, don't accuse/imply that JessP is treating fans badly.

I never said it was Jess. This is not personal.
But at the same time, /she is the producer. she has to also take some responsibility, to the fans. Re what the BBC does and how the UK fans get treated and when they get the show compared to other countries.
It's a British show, our fees partly pay for it. How come we get it last?

She's the producer. She doesn't do the promotion and she has no say at all in what the BBC do in other countries. They are different companies. And it's only because those other companies have bought the series that Series 3 actually exists. BBC America put up about half the money for S3 (iir) and they don't get it first either.

And either way Jess can't win - people either blame her for poor scheduling with interruptions, or for delayed scheduling that tries to minimise interruptions.

Loads of messages were sent to her. Why did you include her in your first message or many subsequent messages. Many people message her. I responded to your message. You said you didn't mind. At least it was coming. You were happy to wait.

I feel that we are treated quite poorly. And in particular to this specific issue, how you are putting a good slant on it, that we get it behind Greece, New Zealand, sa and other countries, I find baffling.
What is the BBC thinking? What's the logic here. Must come down to money. Can't come down to anything else surely.

Because else all the fans would have been emailing the head of scheduling before, wouldn't they? But they don't.
