That's not a rat that's a mutant rat beast. I read rats too. Smile

My mum lives in London, she took my children to the park one day, she saw what she thought was a squirrel, started to say "look kids see that squir...." She said the words died in the air when she realised it was a massive rat.

I love pet rats, my friend had them. But wild ones still freak me out and I'm so glad we have snakes and cats.

How big was it Fatty? Hope it wasn't anywhere near the bananas. People can be so casual.

Next time people look at you like your crazy, tell them you know a woman in Suffolk who has been captured by spiders and you haven't heard from her in ages. Of course your mum might disown you!.But at least bla sé people will understand the magnitude of the spider problem Wink

It was big enough for me to spot it from the opposite end of the aisle. It wasn't near the bananas, it was near the booze. It was preparing for a spider party!

Hi exact any creepy bug/animal stories? Or have you seen Bess around? We seem to have lost her. ...

I think the spiders may have murdered her.

hudyerwheesht · 28/10/2015 21:58

Like the Halloween name change, fatty

TheTravellingLemon · 28/10/2015 22:01

Hello folks. I keep losing the thread.

The Rats was set where I used to live. You'll be relieved to know it is geographically very accurate. You're welcome

exactchange · 28/10/2015 22:27

We had a spate of suicidal spiders a short while ago, kept finding the massive buggers drowned in a washing up bowl outside (yuk), had five or six until dh decided he couldn't bear it anymore.
Haven't seen Bess either.......

hudyerwheesht · 30/10/2015 19:28

There's a quite funny but also quite horrifying thread in chat about flour weevils...

FattyNinjaOwlBecameAZombie · 30/10/2015 20:12

The one by our gin? (I know her from one of the long running threads)
I've not read it yet but was going to later.

hudyerwheesht · 30/10/2015 20:35

That's the one. Educational in things I'd rather not have known about.

Still no sign of Bess?

FattyNinjaOwlBecameAZombie · 30/10/2015 20:39

Not yet. We may have to send out a search party, armed with bug killer.
