thorntons - ive put them on cm.net, under general, have a peek!

marymay - im sure it must just be her age group as she is stunning, i love the pic of her next to the horse.

mythumbelinas · 04/12/2006 23:09

good luck with the v early start, yummymummy
thorntons, when i picked up pics od dd today in M&S, i picked up the pj of your dd too .. coz she just gave it to me!!

totallyfloaty35 · 04/12/2006 23:11

No calls lately, its a hard age im told, plus DD not standard looking ,she has v short hair and is quite "edgey" lookin(think that means odd) according to stylist i spoke to

mythumbelinas · 04/12/2006 23:12

i was thinking marymay's dd looks really cute in the horse pic, and like an angel in the first one. I didn't think she looked really tall though.
Totally, mine used to grow about 12cm ayr .. quite tall, but in the last yr she only grew 3cm!!!

thorntons · 04/12/2006 23:22

Marymay thanks so much, pics are stunning! Your dd is gorgeous!
Ellesmum, your dds Lw pics arelovely! Thumbs,ha ha my M&S get our 2 mixed up too! V.sorry still havent been to local M&S to chase up pic for you. Will give you a shout x

marymay · 04/12/2006 23:23

totally.i remember you sending me a picture of your dd when we joined u/a.she is stunning .my dd is really tall, tallest in her class.but seems to be slowing down at last its hard to get anything to fit her waist.shame i dont have that problem.lol

perfumelady · 04/12/2006 23:34

wow there is a lot of the old names on here today that i recognise, how is everyone doing? hows the baby totally? marymay it was a great suprise meeting up with you and ds at the express shoot. hope ds is fully recovered and back to his old self. shame about littlewoods, we had to turn a casting down for barretts as dd is the narrator for the her stagecoach show and i didn't think they would have appreciated her not turning up, i do hate turning stuff down for some reason i really do feel terrible.

urban angel question: can anyone remember when we got sent our childrens photo's via email and by post last year, dying to see them, i had a look at the shoot and they did look fab but there were so many couldn't take it all in.

nappyaddict · 04/12/2006 23:41

can i see the pics please? [email protected]

WeWishUAMerryXmasNANappyNewYr · 05/12/2006 02:24

and this

(if anyone who is a member could tell me what agency this is for that'd be great - sorry am i being too cheeky?)

Lolly68 · 05/12/2006 09:24

Morning everyone. Well done to YummyMummy for Littlewoods jobs and to everyone else with their LO's in print.

Good luck to everyone with castings etc.

perfumelady · 05/12/2006 09:25

WeWishUAMerryXmasNANappyNewYr just clicked through to the next page and i'm affraid it's one of those that you don't find out who they are until you apply. just remember the top/best agencies in the industry do not advertise.

nappyaddict i think that ad was only mean't for people that live in NZ(think that could be newzealand)

julie4travel · 05/12/2006 09:36

morning all just on here quickly as work mad.

wewishyou a happynewyear. if you aren't with an agent why not try agencies such as mot, bruce and brown, kids london or urban angels as they are some of the best in the industry

the littlewoods and junior photos are great, you guys must be proud!

webmum1 · 05/12/2006 10:59

Hi there not been on here for a while but just wanted some advice really. My little girl luckily has been quite busy with work of late and I wasw called into her school this morning to be told that they will not be authorising abscence for any jobs etc from next year!
The school does have a bad attendance record but my daughter never misses a day and is very bright. I dont think this is fair really. Any advice what to do? Do i just take her off sick or will I get into trouble? Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks

WeWishUAMerryXmasNANappyNewYr · 05/12/2006 11:04

the second one said it was in the UK. i did the wrong link for the first one. i thought someone earlier on said KL advertised on star now and aren't they good?

WeWishUAMerryXmasNANappyNewYr · 05/12/2006 11:05

i would just say she is sick - after all they can't prove she wasn't for just one day can they.

mrsratty · 05/12/2006 11:06

Yummy- well done on the job!!!!

Webmum1 - I really don't know what to suggest. I really don't want to teach my daughter to lie about why she has been absent from school, I imagine it will only lead into bad things in teenage years! Maybe you could arrange a set number of days the school will allow your daughter to have off for modelling especially if she rarley has any sick days. Good luck.

OP posts:
webmum1 · 05/12/2006 11:11

Thanx for the advice. It just seems a shame that she has done so well with work and for her to just give it up now when her school work etc is not suffering at all.
I even told the agency that we would have to be choosy for castings as that can sometimes take a whole day up depending on location.
I will speak to the school again after xmas and maybe we can come up with an arrangement. Thanx for your advice glad you all seem busy with jobs etc. It normally goes a bit quite this time of year.

mrsratty · 05/12/2006 11:13

How old is your daughter and what agency is she with?

OP posts:
Tinkerbel5 · 05/12/2006 11:15

webmum maybe have a chat with your agent and see what they suggest, they might put your daughter foward for castings/jobs after school, weekends or in holiday time.

wewish it wouldnt be KL advertising for models, they are a fantastic agency and one of the best, I think I read somewhere that it was fine kids that were advertising, in my opinion if an agency needs to advertis then its fishy

Tinkerbel5 · 05/12/2006 11:17

webmum how many days off has your daughter had so far for castings/jobs ? some schools allow 10 days per year authorised absences, I do sypathise with you.

webmum1 · 05/12/2006 11:17

She is 9 in two weeks. She is with Bizzykidz. Has done really well so far but think she is at that age where they can do all the little girly type magazines. It has given her so much confidence too she was such a quite kid before!!

WeWishUAMerryXmasNANappyNewYr · 05/12/2006 11:19

ah it might be them then. are they not very good cos they have accepted ds but i havent had time to get back to them yet. is the child in the calpol advert the same one that is on the packaging in the shops cos i know her mum from bounty if it is. i haven't seen the advert so i don't know.

webmum1 · 05/12/2006 11:20

Tinker_ She has had 12 full days for jobs and about 20 half days for castings etc. Putting it like that it does seem quite a lot now but we NEVER take a holiday during school time. And she has never missed any exams, homework.
