Morning....

OP posts:
NewDKmum · 12/12/2006 12:56

Congrats and good luck to everyone with castings and jobs! Seems like a quite busy period.

DLM - hope Dylan gets over his cold soon, poor little man. I decided to go with Scallywags - dd had the photoshoot for free and got the photos on a cd so have ordered some prints for christmas pressies for grand parents. They sent a contract which clearly stated that they were sole agent, so have terminated with AK - time will tell if it was a clever choice . Will keep and eye oout for Dylan's lovely little face on Feb pp!

mrsratty · 12/12/2006 12:59

totallyfloaty35 - shouldn't be a problem to pick up a new cable, they are probably only a couple of pounds. I think the one I use is one dp bought for something else before we had the camera and it works fine.

Hi, I am thinking of sending my DS photos to some agencies but dont there are so many and dont know which ones are genuine any advise?

sha11 · 12/12/2006 13:59

totallyfloaty its btter if u get a usb cardreader which will be a lot cheaper and it doesnt waste ur camera battery either, did u get my email with the screensvers.

dylansluckymum · 12/12/2006 14:08

newDKmum, i thought they might say that but i think you've made the right choice. they def get work the only complaint is the cost so if you don't have to worry about that so hopefully you're set!! hope to see her smiling face all over the place soon.

forgot to say yackerty, did next casting go well despite the drenching?

thelittlesolidersmummy i think generally the top agencies in london are bruce&brown, urban angels (although both of those may have closed books at the moment) and kids london. mot as well although apparently they haven't been as busy lately. there are many other reputable agencies but with higher start-up fees. www.childmodelling.net is a good resource for info. best of luck!

scootersanta · 12/12/2006 14:27

Littlemadam, I keep meaning to CAT you - no sign of the photos. My little boy was wearing a hat and holding a silver teapot...

marymay · 12/12/2006 14:28

sha11..did you hear anymore about the vw casting.we havent heard anything yet so it must be a no.

ellesmum..saw your dd bhs pictures on the other site .beautiful

totally..good luck with dd casting.

Lolly68 · 12/12/2006 14:31

Thanks DLM. She hasn't actually been selected yet but at least had 1st call from KL!! How is Dylan - is he better now?

dylansluckymum · 12/12/2006 14:36

don't worry lolly the offers will start rolling in! dylan's still not himself, dr said to use nasal spray so did that last night and this morning but he still sounds like a little piggy when he breathes. i'm beginning to think it's just winter sniffles and he's going to stay like this but i really hope not! he doesn't seem to mind too much so it could be a case of mum being a worrywart!

Lolly68 · 12/12/2006 14:41

When Lydia had a cold we are lucky enough to have a steam room so we took her in there (on doctors advice) for a few mins and it really helped clear the congestion. Could you not create steam in the bathroom or kitchen as that may help?

mrsratty · 12/12/2006 14:45

I always found a few drops of carvol near the babies pillow helped. I used to tie a muslin on to the cot and put a few drops on that.

OP posts:
dylansluckymum · 12/12/2006 14:51

yes we bought a humidifier which i've put on every night and during naps. also tried the karvol above his bed (he sleeps in an amby hammock so it's tied to the top), vicks on his chest and back and was using saline drops regularly. he just can't seem to shake it. if it's not cleared up tomorrow we're back to the dr!!

Lolly68 · 12/12/2006 14:55

Well you have tried everything... I'm sure he will start feeling better soon.

dylansluckymum · 12/12/2006 15:17

i hope so. other than the fact that it sounds horrible you'd never know there was anything wrong with him now, he's even sleeping through the night again. if anyone has any other home remedies i'm open to suggestions!

Lolly68 · 12/12/2006 15:21

It is horrible when they not well. I would love Lydia to turn around and say "Mummy I have tummy ache" so you know what's wrong but they can't!! I'm still waiting for her first tooth... at 10.5 months!

totallyfloaty35 · 12/12/2006 16:22

Cyan,he is lovely a proper little boy now,not a baby.
Ellesmum, pics are gorgous thanks for sending.
Sha11,sorry not had any email from you, also whats a card reader?i not very technical,i have tried various other usb leads from around the house but none of them fit my camera.
Does anyone have one of those Epson photo printers?my one is printing everything with a blue/green tinge and i cant figure out why

ellesmum · 12/12/2006 17:12

totally - it might be because your ink is running out, that usually happens with my printer if the ink is getting too low. have you checked that?

sha11 · 12/12/2006 17:21

I'LL SEND IT again and a card reader is around £10 and u out he camera card and plug into usb port and upload

nannynickers · 12/12/2006 17:59

Hi glad to hear everything is going well here. Lolly when do you find out about how Lydia did in the Bounty comp?

Lolly68 · 13/12/2006 09:24

Gosh it wasd quiet on here last night! I usually have loads to catch up on when I come into work in the morning.

Nannynickers - its usually the beginning of the month (so Jan). I'm not holding out much hope - it was only a fun thing to do anyway. I know DLM also entered DS last month.

dylansluckymum · 13/12/2006 09:49

morning! lolly i was going to say yest but i knew you'd gone already, i've read that getting teeth later is better than early as if they fall out too early it can cause problems with adult teeth. plus i think girls are often later than boys as well. i'm sure you'll have the pleasure of her teething very soon!

perfumelady · 13/12/2006 09:52

morning all, good luck totally with clarkes casting. bet dd3 will get loads from u/a. did the magazine come out in the end that dd1 was in?

marymay when were they filming vw?

cyan how's you? haven't seen you on here in ages (probably just kept missing you.)

dylansluckymum hope your ds is feeling better soon, steaming out the bath room and sitting in there for 5 mins, really worked for my ds when he used to get his annual winter cold (all over xmas)

my dd is quiet on the modelling front but busy with rehearsals for a christmas show, she has a couple of auditions in january one for a film and one for chitty chitty bang bang, so she's happy.
