moving to Bedfordshire

we're considering a move away from where we are now to Bedfordshire. Not 100% certain about it but lots of reasons for us to make the move. We currently live in a lovely friendly village with great school and wondered what villages in Beds are like. Need somewhere very friendly to newbies! Any MNers have recommendations? I'd be so grateful otherwise it's sticking a pin in the map!

Hi all, not sure people are still using this! 😅
we moved from Harpenden to the new development outside Houghton Regis and we are looking for good schools! My kids go to amazing schools in Harpenden but the commute everyday is a pain and it’s just a very toxic environment for me. People have just a lot of money and live in a bubble. The kids are settled and doing amazing in school. Just wondering if there’s a decent primary school around the area? I’ve read LOT of ofsted reports and it’s depressing! If I have to suck it up with the drive everyday I’ll but I would love to move them to a school in Beds and leave Herts behind really 🙏🏽
