Ellesmum - Do I send photos in my email or through the post?

ellesmum · 23/11/2006 11:53

lolly - you send photos to kids by post, almost 2 weeks isnt long, i think she will get something very soon.

i think i was lucky only having to wait 2 weeks for a casting, maybe because of the time of year i joined which was in the summer hols. i think things are slower leading up to christmas.

Lolly68 · 23/11/2006 11:56

I know its not that long but the photos I originally sent in were taken at Farnborough so thought I shguld send newer ones. You ok?

ellesmum · 23/11/2006 12:06

lolly - im fine, dds birthday in a few weeks so rushing around trying to get all her presents! shes at a really funny stage where shes gone all tomboyish and wants spiderman and superman action toys, she watches spiderman everyday lol

julie4travel · 23/11/2006 12:22

ellesmum - from her girly pictures i wouldn't think she is tomboyish! my dd starts turning round saying power rangers spd andi keep saying no your a girl! she laughs and trys doing karate kicks!

ellesmum · 23/11/2006 13:40

i asked her what she wanted for her birthday and she said she wanted powers like superman lol. im just glad we live in a ground floor flat as she often trys to jump off furniture thinking she will be able to fly like superman, and when she falls she cries asking why superman didnt save her !!

ellesmum · 23/11/2006 13:41

ive emailed u back julie

julie4 - Just put the turkey in! Can't wait for tonight...dressed the table and the kids are going to make "table turkeys" out of apples and fruit gums. The casting was just for DS, DD is a wee too plain to model (although Norrie Carr wanted to take her on because of her personality). She'll be a swan someday! Yup, DS got a pack of Squirel Trumps and a pen. Loved the offices and the animatronic dog. Not holding my breath for either casting we did that day. Won't be doing two in a row again either! Phew! I was EXHAUSTED and the kids were just about hanging in there until we got home. We were the last in - having got there about 5:50. How about you? Were there many in front of you when you arrived?

Hi all, thanks for the kind words and welcome, baby v.gd and has slept through the night since she was a wk old,but she does feed all day to make up for it.
Marymay, nice to see you again, eldest DD not done a lot,1 mag shoot and stand in for a tv commercial(she didnt get used, but she did get given lots of clothes and got paid of course)i did have to turn down loads of castings in summer though as i was ill and couldnt take her.
Middle DD with MOT still, but she only had 1 job with them and we heard nothing for months, she did do there book shoot though so am hoping more will happen once she gets on the web site.
What age groups are working most at the moment?

Lolly68 · 23/11/2006 15:06

Thanks Ellesmum - will phone them now also.

marymay · 23/11/2006 15:24

hi totallyfloaty.glad everything going well with the baby.has your oldest stayed with u/a this year? i took dd up to have her pictures done two saturday ago.im really pleased with them.i liked last years but her hair looked a little strange in them.these the make up lady spend alot of time getting her curly hair right.
my ds joined them in june he is eight.he has been really lucky so far and had four jobs .his age group seem to get more work then the older children.dd gets a little put out .but thats the way it goes i surpose . he did a job with perfumelady dd last week it was good to see her.lovely to hear from you.

yackertyyack · 23/11/2006 16:10

Lolly, KL would rather have lots of up to date pictures than old ones so it won't hurt to send them. How did you get on calling them???
Totally - very jealous that your DD3 sleeps all night!!!

yackertyyack · 23/11/2006 16:22

Mrs ratty: Just had a mothercare email with a big pic of your daughter!!!

RnBee · 23/11/2006 16:24

hello ladies. Is anyone here with fine-kids? Or does anyone know anything about them first hand?

Lolly68 · 23/11/2006 16:45

Yackerty - have spoken with KL and sent the photos in of DD. They seem to know who I was talking about so quite chuffed.

Mrsratty - I received same email too and have forwarded to you!

RnBee - Fine Kids are relatively new but if you go to www.Childmodelling.net - there is all the information you need to know about model agencies etc.

ellesmum · 23/11/2006 17:02

lolly - thats good news, hope the phone starts ringing for u now!

mrsratty · 23/11/2006 17:13

Thanks YY and Lolly. That's the picture which is in the Brent Cross window! I don't know why I didn't recive it as I have signed up to the email mailing list. Good to have you guys to spot these things for me!!!
