Hope calls went well today Z, both ways.

Do we need a TeamDBF/Phalanx call centre?!

Some wicked possibilities, but maybe needs more work Grin

IamtheZombie · 26/10/2015 23:33

Evening Honourable Phalanx.

No phone call today. Suspect I'll now hear via snail mail. If nothing arrives in the next couple of days, I'll ring my oncology nurse and she can set the oncologist on them again.

I didn't get everything done today that I'd hoped to do but it was nonetheless a productive day. I got a couple of my calls made (awkward to keep making outgoing calls when you're waiting for callbacks), did several loads of laundry and had a L O N G talk with my gardener (warned him that the next time he argued with me about what I want done or ignored what I'd asked I'd be looking for another gardener).

Just had a lovely chat with ZLad as he was driving home from work followed by a good skype session once he was home.

IamtheZombie · 27/10/2015 14:22

It's a productive day and it's only mid-afternoon.

Car insurance renewed.

Car booked in for MOT at 11:00 on Thursday.

Cats booked in for jabs and checkups on Friday. Gemma & Tinkerbelle at 09:10 and Maisie at 14:10.

Passport photographs booked for 13:00 on Saturday.

Now for some indoor jobs. Grin

Mummylin · 27/10/2015 15:28

I think you run on Duracell batteries Zombie, you have more energy than me !

iklboo · 27/10/2015 16:51

Crivens, Zombie - and me!!! You're an utter inspiration. When I'm feeling poorly, dizzly & ill I just want to lie down & hold on to something, not run round doing millions of jobs. You're a foot (leg-end) Grin

IamtheZombie · 28/10/2015 16:34

EEEEEK!

Liver surgeon has just rung. Looks like I'm going under the knife on 11th November. Should have confirmation in the post in a day or two.

Mummylin · 28/10/2015 16:54

I am so pleased for you Zombie, although not pleased you have to have an op at all, but I'm sure you know what I mean. So that gives you plenty of time to work your way through your lists and get everything in place. Flowers

TheoriginalLEM · 28/10/2015 17:19

That is excellent news Zombie. Hoping it all goes smoothly

iklboo · 28/10/2015 18:24

Fabulous Zombie - done, dusted and on the road to recovery for Xmas. Hope all goes well for you!

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 28/10/2015 19:27

EEEEK indeed!

That's great news Zombie, you have a date to work towards.

The 11th November is an auspicious date for me, so it will be for you too, I'll see to it Smile

magimedi · 28/10/2015 22:41

Great news!

Sad that that means you won't be with us for the meetup on 14th ( Wine will be raised & you will be toasted as it was last year) but YAY!!! So pleased you haven't got to wait around.

You are so obviously very organised - 2 weeks to sort it out - no problemo!

The Phalanx will all be with you on 11/11 (what an auspicious date) if not in person in thought.

And if BBB is 'seeing to it' you will be fine!

She's one powerful woman - nearly as powerful as you!

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 28/10/2015 22:56

Great news Zombie, I am so pleased it is going ahead. But we will definitely miss you at the Camel or whatever it is called. Do you know how long you will have to be in hospital after?

BBB is it your birthday or something?

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 28/10/2015 23:14

magi I wouldn't be surprised if Z turns up at the meet-up anyway!
She's got 3 days to recover, pah, not one to miss a party Grin

No Hearts not birthday, anniversary of meeting someone wonderful.
Are you back sweetheart?
Last I heard it was The Brougham?

Wolfiefan · 28/10/2015 23:21

Zombie you are a total whirlwind!
Glad you have a date.
I volunteer for the cinnamon trust. Certainly worth contacting them. They don't only help the elderly.
Xx

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 28/10/2015 23:46

Back on the red-eye on Friday. Arrive Sat morning. Dreading Hallowe'en a bit but the DDs are convinced they will be fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine and not jet lagged at all Grin

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 29/10/2015 00:18

Can't you slip a little something in their OJ on the flight?

OMG don't tell anyone I said that! Grin

Lots of love Hearts, hope you're all OK.

UndeadWalkingEatingBrains · 29/10/2015 17:50

After a minor brake repair, the Skoda passed her MOT.

I spent an enjoyable few hours in Bridgnorth while she was at the garage. I started off with a BIG breakfast at one of the cafes. Next I adjourned to Costa for a medium vanilla latte with extra vanilla. I got to chatting with the gentleman on the next table and we passed an extremely pleasant hour or so chatting about life and quantam physics. Then I wandered back up the High Street doing some shopping and getting my flu jab.

Tomorrow, it's the cats' turn. ZombieCatsG&T have an appointment at 09:10. I'm going to withhold breakfast until we get back home so I can make sure they both stay around while I wrestle them into their carriers. It's ZombieCatM's turn at 14:10.

magimedi · 29/10/2015 18:04

Hooray for MOT pass.

Good luck tomorrow with Zcats - sounds exhausting! Mine always knew & would try running for it the morning of any vet visit.

Have you got them sorted out for the hospital stay?

I've looked back & can't see how long you have to be in hospital for post op?

UndeadWalkingEatingBrains · 29/10/2015 18:16

I'm going to ask the vet about the availability of foster care. I'll also speak with my neighbour. If all else fails it will have to be the local cattery.

I'll probably be in hospital for 7 - 10 days. I may then need a week or two of some sort of intermediate care so going to ring local hospice and local 'cottage' hospital to see if either of those is a possibility.

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 30/10/2015 01:36

Good girl Skoda, give her a bit of wax-on-wax-off as a thank you.

Or just tell her you might.

Rather you than me with the cats, good grief. No breakfast gives you the best odds.

Random chap and quantum physics sounds v. romantic.

I would love to be a fizzicist, endless possibilities ...

UndeadWalkingEatingBrains · 30/10/2015 10:18

Two cats jabbed and wormed. One cat to go.

Both G & T in generally good health however both will need to see the cat dentist before too long.

Now it's time for all of us to have breakfast.

magimedi · 30/10/2015 10:33

Skim read that & thought you were having a G 'n' T for breakfast!!!

Good luck with Zcat 3 - hope the other two don't tell her/him Grin

TheoriginalLEM · 30/10/2015 13:01

just a reminder about *the cinammon trust" who can provide foster care for pets

iklboo · 30/10/2015 17:10

Hope all went well with ZCat 3 & the other two forgive you quickly.

It's our anniversary today so DH & I are off out to our local Italian restaurant for lots of lovely food. And wine. Copious amounts of wine. Grin

UndeadWalkingEatingBrains · 30/10/2015 17:21

Happy anniversary, ikl!

ZCatM is now jabbed and wormed as well. She also has ear mites. I have to administer ear drops in both ears once a day for 7 days. Now that is going to be fun.

Hospital admission appointment letter arrived this afternoon. I'll be admitted in the evening of 10th November in preparation for surgery on the 11th.
