Here's hoping that this is just a minor setback for you lovely Zombie and that different antibiotics etc will soon get your recovery back on track.

I have printed off the poem and will see that Zombie gets it today even though I may not manage to talk to her :)

I just wanted to say that I stumbled across many of Zombie's posts in the past and always thought what an articulate, witty, wonderful person she seemed.
I'm sad to see she is having an awful time of it, and I just wanted to add my best wishes and positive thoughts to your thread. Hoping zombie perks up again soon. Weechops x

I popped in with the post and a print off of ikiboo's poem. Zombie was on a nebuliser and not really up to talking. I left the things with her and gave her all your love and positive vibes.

This infection is so very unfair :( I very selfishly want zombie to be spending the next few months entertaining me with tails of her adventures, not stuck in hospital. I keep hoping the next update will be good news.

Zombie, I know you're not reading right now, but I really hope you kick that infection's arse ASAP, and get back to us pronto

I am so sorry to give you the following update from Z's niece
"She has taken a turn for the worse and is very weak and sleepy.
Diuretics have been increased for fluid overload. She is swollen and very sore, still struggling to breathe and still fluid on her heart.
The antibiotics seem to be managing the pneumonia although she was running a temperature but very cold."
I will let you know if I hear more.

Oh greylady sending you love, especially if you are on your own there this evening.

That is disturbing news TGL. How I wish we could do something for her. I am not a religious person, but in my own way I am wishing that her treatment finally kicks in and starts working.
Zombie deserves a bit of good stuff for a change, I think it's long overdue.

Thanks all alone no I am not on my own. My husband is with me, he knows Zombie too and we are just very sad that she is so ill. Even this afternoon I didn't think she was significantly worse than on Thursday then just a few hours later Wham! She really is going through hell.

I've read many of Zombies threads and lurked on this one.
I just want to add my best wishes.

I'm so pleased to hear that your husband knows Zombie greylady, it can be difficult to explain the depth of relationships that start on the internet.

I know Zombie treasures her relationship with her niece so it's lovely that she is so involved.
