Having just watched the end of the Channel 4 best albums of all time, dh and I were discussing how upsetting we find it if someone we love admits to liking U2 and how it devalues them in our eyes TOTALLY irrational I know

So...

CountessDracula · 16/10/2006 00:11

Someone who says I never read books or newspapers

GhoulsToo · 16/10/2006 00:14

what was No 1 - have recorded but I need to know now

GhoulsToo · 16/10/2006 00:18

people who ask you a question and then bugger off to bed?

hunkermunster · 16/10/2006 00:19

Oh, I loathe U2. Loathe. Proper "stadium rock" - just droning, IMO. "Get your lighter out and look solemn"

Twats.

ediemay · 16/10/2006 00:21

I always hoped they would get stuck in their giant stage lemons, or whatever they were; akin to "Spinal Tap"

eidsvold · 16/10/2006 00:22

loves U2 and is off to see them in concert later in Nov. Married to a chelsea fan

eidsvold · 16/10/2006 00:22

and could not care less what anyone thought of me.

ghoulgirl · 16/10/2006 00:36

I think less of someone if they don't laugh at the same things as me.
ie. people who think the office or extras isn't funny.

totally irrational I know

darlink · 16/10/2006 01:00

women who say " I find it easier to get on with men than women.

People who say "I find it easier to get on with dogs than humans"

hannahsaunt · 16/10/2006 08:33

That's NOT fair, Eidsvold. We had to give our U2 tickets back after they cancelled Sydney as we can't just pop down the road there any more [stamps my foot].

Back to topic - people who admit to reading the Telegraph for pleasure

people who support big football teams -just becuase they are big. they dont come from that town or city and dont support their own home team

ie. anyone supporting manchester united.

if your a mancunian - it shouldbe city first and foremost - that deservs respect. only people from salford should support man u. the rest are just clingons.

same for chelsea.

my son said to me when he was about 14/15 just when chelsea were becoming the next big thing " mum i decided i am supporting chelea"

"darling if you can point to chelsea on a map - you can"

of course he couldn't.

and why is this all irrational?

well becuase my knowledge of footie is nil.

i think its got something to do with sycophants and not supporting your local team. - what where you were born ( or living now) ARN'T GOOD ENOUGH FOR YOU?!!

see irrationali never even watch football!

LieselVonTrappDoor · 16/10/2006 08:55

If they have car stickers/baby on board etc.

People who tell their kids off for rolling on the floor.

Why? Why do I care? It's hardly child abuse, is it, trying to keep a set of clothes clean for the day! But I hate it, I don't care how much washing i have to do, I love to see filthy children.

LadyDooM · 16/10/2006 09:01

people who dislike me with very irrational reasons :P

I adore U2, He has an exceptional singing voice and the music is great.

However, there are some singers I cannot stand that other people do like.. Its a matter of taste and opinion. Has nothing to do with what sort of people you are.

Pruni, that's disliking them for being irrational, not an irrational reason for disliking them ;-)

(I am partial to the fish with feet, but would never have one ...)
