FIL is ok I guess, on quite a lot of morphine now and visibly unwell, losing weight etc. SIL is struggling, DH isn't dealing with it very well. Ho hum.

Well....today hasn't gone to plan at all so far :(
Did school run. Was planning to come home and start ironing but met my sister at the school gate and she was obv upset. Turns out her h is being a bugger dick than usual and she just burst into tears right here and then :(
So...took her back to mums and gave her a hot drink. Had a chat. I knew it would come to head soon but he is such a price. She would be well rid of him tbh. Sigh.
Then took mum to the solicitor and to tesco.
Am sitting down now with a brew and the ironing is yet again not done!

Yeah it's pretty grim with FIL, poor DH is really struggling with his feelings, he and FIL haven't had a great relationship and so this is all coming to the fore and upsetting him a lot.
He has got some counselling starting this week, which he has been saying he would organise ever since I've known him pretty much to come to terms with his relationship with his father, but FIL being ill has finally pushed him to sort it out. I'm glad, but I think he's going to find it very hard to talk about it all. :(

Drink - I wouldn't bother but the guy brings it right into my kitchen and I would feel a bit weird still in pjs

We're going to Le Gets Helen, my parents are coming and there is full day childcare including ski school for the DSs so DH and I will actually get to ski and maybe have a beer together in peace!!

Ali...my sister has been having counselling for a while now. She says it has helped.
I have no idea what will happen...this isn't the first time it has come to a head tbh (he walked out on them when the dc were small) but she took him back.
I think since dad died she has realised that life is too short. Sounds trite, but it's true.
I have tried over the years to try and give advice when asked (he is financially controlling) but she then gets angry and we fall out so for the past few years I have kept my thoughts to myself.
He is such a pig. I hate him

Things have been fairly stressful in casa mouse. Dp has 2 essays in for Thursday. But at least the issue I mentioned on another thread is sorted and taken care of.

I'm just stuck in a mess and laundry related groundhog day. Still onwards and upwards.
