The snug is now expanded and open for anywenches wanting to blether away without inflicting their ramblings on the innocent Hmm participants of Telly Addicts.

Musketeer worship is still a pre-requisite to entry of course....

Obs is busy with a report that she needs to write for Monday, I think... I think she did pop in to the other thread briefly.

That's a Big part of the problem with any celebration in the uk IMO.
You just can't depend on the weather.
My ds1s b day is in June.
You would think we would stand a Fair chance of decent weather.
But...he will be 12 in June and he has had 3 sunny b days.
His 7th b day sticks in my mind.
The rain was biblical! It actually hailed and there was localised flooding :)

FancyFancy · 10/01/2015 18:21

Think she said on the other thread that she was finishing her report & was a bit behind on the thread(s)

Baddz · 10/01/2015 18:23

Madame..must admit I told ds2 (and some of the other parents!) that last year was the last "big" party.
Ds1 goes away with Dh and fil for 2/3 days for his b day (Paris last year) and ds2 has said he wants to go to legoland this year so that's what we will be doing, hopefully.

FancyFancy · 10/01/2015 18:23

helen beat me to it!

Shower time, then off out to dinner. See you later.

MadamedeChevreuse · 10/01/2015 18:26

Threw sunny june birthdays in 12 years is mental!

Tbh ds is 26 jan so the park thing was usually a bit of a stretch for us. But I do remember one jan day sitting in a park dying cos it was about 25 degrees...

MadamedeChevreuse · 10/01/2015 18:26

Three...not threw...

Lyndie · 10/01/2015 20:23

Floppers I enjoyed that link!! So true.

Madame I would second the church hall party. If you invite them all only 2/3rds would come! Inexpensive party food, bouncy castle hire and maybe some entertainment? I hate children's parties and even I enjoyed those ones!!

Hope the lurgy is improved everyone. I'm coughing like it's going out of fashion GrinGrin [honey/lemon emoticon]

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 10/01/2015 22:24

Hello, hello, hello. knackered but too wired up to go to bed early, which is what I really need. my men-cup arrived today. very pleased with it for now. much softer and flexible than MoonCup but not too soft. can't wait to try it out. Lovely coral pink colour too!

Flopsy28 · 10/01/2015 22:27

madame, I'm watching Avengers Assemble for the very first time and thought of you! I've never watched any of this stuff....not sure who my favourite is yet Wink

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 10/01/2015 22:28

madame be carefull with assuming only 2/3 will come! most parties we've been to have been full capacity apart from the ones who invited gusest too late. Reading MN I realise it does depend on the area, I read sometimes no one shows up Shock but clearly not round here!

MadamedeChevreuse · 10/01/2015 22:30

Ive never watched the Avengers either flops! (Tbh its mainly totally Chris Pratt Im interested in.) Is it any good?

"Men cup" - ok I get it, but at first that sounds like a bit of a weird name for a sanitary device...

FancyFancy · 10/01/2015 22:36

I thought that too madame!

I'm interested to hear how you get on with it drink as by the end of my period the (relative) stiffness of the mooncup can leave me very slightly sore. Not sure I would buy a new one at my age , (that makes me sound like I'm 105), but I could be tempted.

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 10/01/2015 22:44

There is a 16 yo girl on you tube testing all those cups and reviewing them! Star Pads or sth she's called. Brilliant. I'd be so proud of me my DD if one day she's be so strong-minded and articulate like that girl! She just doesn't shut up! Grin

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 10/01/2015 22:44

From what I now gather, mooncup is particularly stiff!

FancyFancy · 10/01/2015 22:58

Interesting, if it's as good or better regarding leaking, I may buy one.

I have a feeling your DD may well be drink Wink

I had one of my proudest parent moments when DD told me how she'd explained mooncups to her Year 6 sex-ed class Grin.

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 10/01/2015 23:18

Love your DD, fancy Grin

FancyFancy · 10/01/2015 23:26

thanks drink, it still makes me Grin when I think of it.

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 10/01/2015 23:28

Is that your DD on youtube then?! Shock

FancyFancy · 10/01/2015 23:38

Don't think so....

Good morning wenches. Boring here and crap weather. Anyone else doing anything exciting today?

FurFoxAke · 11/01/2015 09:37

Morning all!
I love the avengers films, in fact as family they are one of the few that everyone will watch happily. I like Bruce Banner in them, love Black Widow and like Hawkeye, but Loki is the best!
I quite like the new superman movie too. Not sure why though....
Wink
Moon cups....hmmm. I use washable pads, not brave enough for mooncups Grin

Baddz · 11/01/2015 09:43

I have only ever had 1/2 no shows at parties.
And one of them never comes.
Poor little bugger.
His mum would have to make some fucking effort to get him there I guess.

FurFoxAke · 11/01/2015 09:56

I haven't done parties other than small ones at home or the cinema.

I've just read nonny's Tavern Literature! Wow, you have an amazing ability.
Poor Kate, what has happened to her? Don't suppose anyone could do a recap?
