housemum - I didn't tell them I just left when our one year was up as I didn't want to pay all that money for photos again when DD had had no jobs. I'm sure you have made the best decision!

How did the British Isles Comp go. Anyone on here a winner.

housemum · 16/10/2006 08:10

I've done it!! 2 e-mails sent, bye bye NC hello B&B. Should have done it months ago but there you go. (MrsRatty - I needed to let them know as her contract's not due for renewal until early next year, but I can give one month's notice to get out - cost will actually be about the same as now she is in 3-4 age group we need to go in model book with B&B. I forgot to ask Kipsey - do you get any copies of the model books shots free, or are they to buy?)

mrsratty · 16/10/2006 08:41

housemum - I think last time they emailed you the photos so you could print your own, though I may be wrong!

Re British Isles comp
one little girl from cm net won the mini comp. not such luck for us. It was a long day and it was nice meeting up with some of you guys. My ds enjoyed playing with all the little boys .he is really impressed with his tamagotchi prize which all the kids in his category got. there was some beautiful kids and not all could be winners. I would say the event is a good way for see how the kids on before joining with modelling agencies etc as there was quite a few who haven't done anything like this before.

cristabal- i joined star now when 3 jobs came up at once. it cost about £15 for three months and i have had my moneys worth. we got a film part. a lovely image design of my daughter for free (basically you email your photos in for them to work on and put on their website)that was superb picture. shortlisted for for another and a casting for another which we didn't get. I am really positive about the site. What I would say is wait until you see some jobs advertised which suits your criteria before you join.

sha11 · 16/10/2006 09:42

What did they do then, did the winner recieve the combined prize fund from the boys and girls comp or did they give the original prize?

mrsratty- i am not too sure as we left as soon as the result was given so we could start our drive home. i think the winner on cm net is waiting to be advised what her dd gets sow ill see what she posts on there

littlemadam · 16/10/2006 10:51

Julie and Trace2 ..Glad you enjoyed it, did the DS's have a ball?? We are at B and B Thurs pm for the model book, so may see you there??

DS loved the John Richmond shoot, it was a full day, and very high fashion, with stylists from Milan and such cool clothes, DS said it was his best day ever!!! He did get a present of a remote controlled car from one of the designers at the end, so think that might have swayed his thinking...

Can't wait to see the pics, they are out for the big childrens international fashion show in January.

Mrsratty and Pimms, fingers crossed for Junior.

Could you guys do me a favour, DS's window display is meant to be in Mothercare about now and don't want to miss it!! Its winter warmers and its DS (golden brown long curls) and a little girl with long white blond hair in lots of leaves. If anyone sees it, coould they give me a shout!! THanks

mrsratty · 16/10/2006 10:52

Just read the rules and it says it's a joint competition which is a shame as I'm sure girls will generally be picked over boys!

Do you think you will ever do it again?

OP posts:
mrsratty · 16/10/2006 10:55

littlemadam - sounds like a great day, a present at the end is fab! Hope your picture goes up in Mothercare, we are also waiting for one too though I have a feeling it may not be used.
