Quadrofiendia - Just read back, do you also work as a doula to help women in childbirth, I was going to ask this ages ago but keep forgetting!

OP posts:
Quadrofiendia · 13/10/2006 23:37

I used to, haven't for a year, although I mainly worked post birth, I have only took on one birth client and that was shared with another doula!!

housemum · 14/10/2006 21:01

Hellooooooo - anyone there?

BBWBabeLisa · 14/10/2006 21:14

Here-Ish! Just been rummaging in kitchen cupboard for some custard powder I was sure I had somewhere and ended up with bags of stuff to ditch that was way out of date. The winner was a jar of curry sauce that I must have had before I married Andy, over 3 years out of date. Andy did a clear-out of the cupboards about 6mth ago, so he musta missed that one!

BBWBabeLisa · 14/10/2006 21:15

Oh and the custard powder when I eventually found it was out of date in April! Bah!

ellesmum · 14/10/2006 22:01

Tinkerbel5 · 15/10/2006 18:11

housemum · 15/10/2006 18:31

Yeah - has everyone else just got a life??!! I know Julie is at the Mini Mr British Isles, but where's everyone else? I should be doing some ironing - have got halfway through and ground to a halt - need to find some enthusiasm. Offered DD the chance to watch telly and tried forcing a Disney DVD like Toy Story or something on her but she just wanted Balamory - it's sending me to sleep....

Tinkerbel5 · 15/10/2006 18:39

hello housemum, shame on the others for having a life, its been quiet on here all weekend.

DD watching Cbeebies, Im having a glass of wine and looking forward to watching Jayne Ayere tonight.

mrsratty · 15/10/2006 18:47

Hello, I'm around just don't have much to say today! Hopefully DD will get a job this week. I did get a messsage to say the French magazine she did a shoot for has been published so that's good.

Housemum are you changing, things really picked up for DD when I did.

Has anybody joined starnow.com (where you have to actually pay) as I joined only to get newsletter and I often get sent messages about castings and modelling jobs but you can't apply for these or get any further info until you pay joining fee (I think its about £50 for the year.

Tinkerbel5 · 15/10/2006 19:29

yes mrsratty it would be nice to have some jobs come in, good news on the french magazine.

Tinkerbel5 · 15/10/2006 19:30

no Christabel, but Julie is a member so will be able to advise you

ellismummy · 15/10/2006 19:31

goodluck for tomorrow ellismummy

ellismummy · 15/10/2006 19:41

Thanks, hopefully ds will be in a good mood, who knows with 2 yr olds!

Mrsratty, we have been told to bring 3 or 4 different outfits in gap style smart/trendy. no plain white t-shirts or clothing with large logos.

Ragamuffin · 15/10/2006 20:06

mrsratty.......I always find that anything plain with no logos in definate brighter colours are better. Steer away from white or pastel shades like pale pink, lilac or yellow as these colours honestly do nothing for the child.

mrsratty · 15/10/2006 20:20

Thanks Ragamuffin, I think I'll have to buy her a new top as most are shades of pink or pale colurs!

Hi
Anyone seen the new John Lewis magazine yet ? If so, is it the christmas one ? My little boy did a shoot with pajamas on, and I was wondering if he was in it.
Thanks

housemum · 15/10/2006 20:55

MrsRatty - yes, we're going with B&B - I just need to let NC know! Being a coward I'll tell them by e-mail (actually, it's probably the best way as I have proof then that I gave adequate notice). Thanks for the words of encouragement! Off to watch Jane Eyre now...

mrsratty · 15/10/2006 20:56

I don't think the christmas clothes one is out yet, just the toys one.
